Summary
Jayce finds himself held hostage among an ever-moving line of new victims, captives to an unknown man who acts out any whim and perversion he pleases upon his helpless prisoners. His focus is solely on surviving the next day, and the next day, unable to track time or season. Things seem hopeless.
The only light in the dark is Viktor, a fellow prisoner and the basement's “patient zero”, who’s been there the longest. Slowly they learn to trust each other, finding companionship and hope in the most hopeless of all places. But when it comes to the moment to free themselves and break out of the endless Hell that has been their reality for far too long, things start to escalate.
Can Jayce get Viktor to trust him enough to help him escape? Does Viktor find a way to free himself from the twisted place he’s been stuck in? Who is the man responsible for all these horrors? And most importantly: will they make it out?
