It was the first week of December and everyone knew how it can get really cold and high pilled snow, so everyone was prepared. Either with soft fluffy socks, or really warm blankets, it didn't matter.
As the sun rose, he could see the snow piling on his window, that's when it dawned on him that it had snow last night. Which meant the younger half-bloods would be out in no time messing around. As he sat up he noticed how some other beds were empty except for Austin, Kayla and a few others that were still either asleep, or chatting quietly.
Outside you could hear all the squealing from overexcited kids, and the laughing of the Hermes cabin most likely as they pulled pranks. After laying in bed for another few minutes he finally got up and started to get around, bundling up to stretch out into the snow and try not to get pummeled by a snowball like last year.
There were a few from camp Jupiter and the way-station that were visiting for December. Jason was listening as Leo explained a pair of gloves he had on that he figured out how to heat, he gave them to Jason saying they were an early gift. While Percy and anabeth were having a snowball fight against Frank, Nico, and Hazel. Piper and Reyna were sitting together catching up while watching the all out brawl going on, seeing as Leo and Jason joined the others.
Will walked over, his hands staying warm in his pockets, as he walked up from behind he flopped down into the snow face first, earning a side eye from Reyna “you good will?” “Yeah, I'm fine.” Will rolled over, watching as his boyfriend and friends came up, covered in snow and soaked wet. Him and the rest burst out laughing at their friends' states.
“Snowman contest?” will couldn't help but blurt out, it was a tradition he would have when he was young and they would have snow, even if it was a rare thing it was still fun. “Oh your on!” percy jumped up, dragging anabeth with him “slow down seaweed brain!!” a laugh followed after her words.
Everyone split into a group of two, nico and will, jason and leo, piper and reyna, hazel and frank, and eventually percy and anabeth. After a while of rolling snow around, will noticed a group of people at the top of the hill. He first thought it was some other teens from the cabins, but he soon realized it was his dad and what must be his friends. He waved up at them, gaining a smile and eager wave from Apollo.
He went back to making a snowman, Nico working on the head while he works on the middle, the base already sat near them ready to be made. After a few hours and everyone slowly finishing, Nico added a carrot he grabbed on its face.
“...did you have to make it look like a demon?” will side-eyed his boyfriend who was smoking, proud of his work “what can i say? It was boring before” nico shrugged, a smirk still gracing his features. Will breathed a laugh, shaking his head.
As they walked up the hill Nico's hand laced with his. “Love you neeks.” he placed a kiss on his lover's cheek, “love you too carebear” will groan at the name, Nico laughing loudly at his reaction.
Once they reached the top, all the others were chatting and waiting for them. It was calm and the sun was now high in the sky, everyone headed to the dining pavilion, sitting together, bundled up with blankets and each other, mugs of hot coco in their hands, everyone at ease.
Jason and Leo sat close together, chatting with Apollo, and Meg. Piper sat with Hazel, Frank and Reyna, catching up over stuff. While percy, and anabeth, sat together enjoying each other's company. Will sighed a small smile gracing his lips, he closed his eyes focusing on his boyfriends breathing. Letting himself rest.
