Work Text:
Darkened with gloom, stormy clouds are gathering,
hiding bright light of the sun with its mass.
First waterdrops' broke the peace with its pattering:
the storm's early stage couldn't wait with its start.
It's been coming down, pouring buckets of water.
High stormy winds swept through tree canopy.
The ground's soaked through, and it looks like a slaughter:
ripped leaves, broken twigs lie all over in pieces.
The town let the storm have its just little deserts:
its strong stormy rage swept the alleys and streets.
Puddles' transformed into torrents and rivers,
mercilessly carrying away things in bits.
Lightning has brightened the skies in the silence,
its rumbling echo was heard all around.
The storm's gone on further with its mindless violence,
taking away its electrical sounds.
The flood's drowned the grass and the flower gardens,
washing the sidewalks with its fierce flux.
The rooftops are drenched, shining wetly and tidily.
Everyone's home, grateful for their luck.
The storm met its end and the rain turned to dribble:
the dark stormy clouds went away with the winds.
Shyly, the sun's peeked out - muted and feeble -
reflecting its light in the puddles and windows...
