Chapter Text

Peter woke up. The blanket is soft and-

He remembers. The battle, the aliens, Titan and Mr. Stark. Omg he died. It was all coming back to him. How he had fought Thanos on Titan and how he, how he died. God, he died and he could feel it. The feeling of his cell's ripping apart and stiching itself together at the same time. It was awful. He dissappeared, turned into dust. It went dark.

And then he was back again. He still had the same injuries as before he turned to dust. He remembers Doctor Strange telling him that it had been 5 years. That he teleported him to what must have been the compound which had been completely destroyed. Fighting all the aliens. They were all to much. Never have been able to breathe without another alien running towards him.

He remembers the entire fight. The gauntlet. What if he had just used the gauntlet there in that moment. maybe then Mr. Stark would still be alive. His funeral. He had a daughter. She was just four. If he had snapped than she would still have her father. It was his fault that. Mr. Stark was dead. It was his fault.

He must have passed out from the bright white light. He remembers, the funeral was just over and he was gonna go home with Aunt May and then there was this bright light and now he is in a bed. A bed that smelled like his apartment. What?

The door opened.

"Peter, wake up sleepyhead. You've got school."

It was Aunt May who said it. Why was she?

He opened his eyes slowely. allowing them to adjust. He looked around and saw exactly what he was expecting. His room in the appartment. But it was different.

He walked around taking the room in. There were things that he thought he had thrown away. Like that ugly t-shirt. And that superman comic, he thought he had lost it at school or it may have been stolen, but who knows.

He picked up his phone. Huh. The phone looked like his older phone. The one he had before Mr. Stark forced a new one in his hand.

But what really caught his eyes was the date, It was 2016. But that couldn't be right, could it?

What if I had time travelled? Then I can't tell anyone right? I need to be supercareful and make sure everyone survives. And wait, it was the exact day before Mr. Stark would come into his room and him to come to Germany with him.

He could fix the accords.

He is gonna fix the accords.

"Peter! Honey, why haven't you changed yet? You're gonna be late for school y'know."

"Sorry, Aunt May. I was just lost in thought." He smiles soft at her letting her know he was alright, before quickly changing and going to school.

School was a blur. He didn't even pretend to focus in the classes. He was constantly trying to fight of thoughts about thanos while at the same trying to fish up everything he could remember of the airport battle and the sokovia accords.

When he arrived home he immediately started his laptop up. He wanted to read as much of the accords he could before dinner.

He had read way to much for one day and decided to just patrol. Just blowing of some steam and gosh, he missed the suit that Mr. Stark made for him. And Karen, maybe he could tell Ned he was Spider-man earlier then before. Or would he be screwing up the timeline if he did that. Time was so confusing.

He patrolled for 4 hours after dinner in his homemade suit. And he maybe never admit it, but Mr. Stark was right about it being a onesie. He couldn't believe how uncomfertable his old suit was. But he was still proud of it.

Seeing as tomorrow would be the day that Mr. Stark would arrive at his appartment he headed back around 11 PM.

Tony Stark stepped out of the car. It was the same as the last time he did this. Time travel. What the fuck. He dies and the universe: Nahh, why let Tony Stark rest if we could sent him back in time.

He scoffed a little.

He walked the stairs up. Why does the elevator still not work. oh wait, time travel. forgot about that. Peter will probably not even remember me. I was the one with the infinity stone, so it would make sense that I was the one that got sent back.

He faltered a little at the doorstep. Was this really a good idea, Sending him to Germany? Again? But he would need a voice from the community, he would need peter. He always wants the best for everyone. It would be good to have him there and this time he would make sure that they weren't gonna fight and that Rhodey wouldn't get hurt, again.

He knocked

"please, wait a second." Said a muffled voice that was May.

The door opened and against the doorpost stood May.

"Hi, I'm Tony Stark." He said just like last time. Just like last time. It was like a mantra in his mind. Don't mess with time, 'cause it tends to mess back.

"I know. Why are you here?" May asked and her demeaner shifted a little.

"I'm here for Mr. Parker. I'm here regarding the grant of the september foundation."

"Really, and what entails this grant?"

"Why don't we talk with Mr. Parker here?"

"Yeah, uhh, come in. You can sit on the couch. Do you want any coffee? tea?" She opened the door completely and stepped aside to let him in.

There was a key in the lock and the door opened. And there he was, alive. He was breathing and he was alive. If he wasn't Tony Stark the master of masking his emotions, he would be crying right now.

"Hey, Aunt May."

"Hey,"

Peter dropped something on a chair and walked the kitchen in.

"How was school today?"

"It was okay. There is this crazy car parked outside."

Peter's eyes widened when he saw Tony. And he almost thought maybe Peter travelled too. maybe? No that would be to good to be true. He's always been alone.

"Oh, Mister Parker." He said in his most casual voice. Tho it was hard to do that.

"Uhm," He took his earbuds out. "What, what are you doing- uhm, I'm Peter, Peter Parker. What are you-"

"Tony." He interrupted. Damn, that kid really could use a confidence boost.

"What are you, What are you doing here?"

"Its about time we met. You've been getting my emails, right?" He did the weird think with winking both eyes again to make it as obvious as he could. The kid is a bit oblivious sometimes.

"Yeah, regarding the grant of the september foundation, right?" Huh, how did he?

"You didn't tell me about the grant. Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't know if it would get approved."

"But I did approve." Tony interrupted. It really was his specialty.

"And I wanted to suprise you if i did get in."

"Yeah... Could we talk in private?" He asked his way to hot of an aunt to be someone's aunt. damn that woman is fine.

He closed the door in the same way as before. The lookin in Peter's eyes. He was searching for something but he didn't know what.

And maybe he found it, because the eyes he was looking in had the kind of maturity not even peter had at that age

Peter was searching his eyes. He didn't know if it was because the confersation went diffrent or because he was secretly hoping that maybe just maybe he would remember.

But Tony was searching his eyes to, like he was doing and than in barely a wisper he asked

"Do you remember?"

Peter's eyes flew open in way that would have you think that his eyes would fall out of his eye sockets. He flew himself towards Tony and envelopt him in a hug. And Tony returned without waiting or stiffing up.

"I... You, what..." He couldn't get the words out. He was hugging the man so much he was afraid that he would maybe crush him.

After maybe a minute or two, they let go. Tony, recovering first asked Peter.

"What time are you from? Are you from when I snapped?"

"No, The weird white light was after... after your funeral"

"Oh, kid." It was the only thing Tony said before enveloping in another hug. This on was softer.

"Are you okay, were you hurt after the battle?"

"No, I'm fine. Plus, I'm pretty sure were in our old body's because my hair is not supposed to look this ugly and short." And was ably to get a snort out of the older guy.

"Yeah, and my hair doesn't even have a single one of the grey hairs you have given me."

"I'm pretty sure most of your grey hairs came from old age, because Doctor Strange said it had been 5 years and Happy suddenly looked old and was softer than I remember." He laughed a little remembering how Happy was talking to Morgan on that bench.

"Yeah, Happy has for sure gone soft." Tony looked at him with what seemed to be hurt. "God, I missed you."

"I, what?"

"It has been a long 5 years, Pete. I mean I got a daugther... Or I had a daugther. She isn't born yet."

"I'm sorry"

Tony sniffed. "It isn't you're fault. I don't even know how we got here. Wait do you know how we got here or if anyone else is here?"

He shook his head. "No, I was... We were walking away and than suddenly there is a bright light and then I'm waking up in my bed and everything came rushing back to me. But maybe we should not talk about this now, my aunt is here and she doesn't know."

"Right. Germany?" Peter smiled at the man.

"Yeah, Germany."

Tony began to walk towards the door of his room until he turned around and said. "See you on the plane, Underoos."

"Wait, but you weren't on the plane before?"

"No but now I'm gonna be because we need to talk this whole time travel shit through."

"Yeah, right. See you tomorrow."
