Summary:

Angela takes a huge step

Notes:

This is my 4th update in like 24 hours, but this needed to be written
Also, please God don't read this Smosh. This is purely poorly written fiction based on real people. Nothing I write is a fact, it's just based off their Internet personas

Work Text:

It's been about a week since everything happened with her family and Angela is waiting for Amanda to get to her apartment.

It's a regression week. Angela attempted to wiggle out of it because she had regressed unintentionally the previous weekend, but she didn't succeed. Amanda was firm on the consistency being important, and Angela easily relented.

She honestly enjoys her weekends with Amanda, and was hoping to push it to every week soon. She'd really just fought it because she felt like she should, not because she wanted to.

Despite being able to slide into her headspace without help most of the time, she preferred to wait for Amanda to get there.

This left her time to think about the dilemma little her was having.

She'd had her playdate with Chanse a little under a month ago, and she was still thinking about what he'd said. That Amanda would love it. Or how Amanda had said she'd be honored, that it would be a dream come true.

But what if he's wrong, or she changes her mind. Maybe she's messed up since then, and the offer is gone.

Angela is scared, but Amanda always tells her how brave she is, so today she's gonna be brave.

The two sit at the dining room table coloring in some of Angela's coloring books.

Angela is finishing her picture from last week, listening to Amanda tell a story about her sisters growing up.

The little grins down at her coloring page. It's the first one she's ever done while little, and she's really proud of it. It's in a book Amanda has given her full of different animals.

It's a picture of a unicorn, and she colored it with almost every color in the box. Creating an extremely colorful picture filled with rainbows and glitter.

She holds the book out to Amanda. “Look look look!” Angela says excitedly and she looks up.

“That's such a great picture Angie!” She praises, looking closely at the picture. “I love the green on the hooves” she compliments

Angela beams, carefully hugging the picture to her chest.

“Do you wanna put it up somewhere?” Amanda asks, and Angela looks up at her in surprise.

“Hang up?” She asks slightly confused. No one's done that for her before.

Amanda smiles at her, a sad look in her eyes. “It's art baby, it needs to be seen.” She explains and Angela nods, holding the book out to her.

She carefully removes the picture from the book. “Do you wanna put it on the fridge? Or somewhere else?” She asks and Angela tilts her head in thought.

Angela knows the fridge is the best place for art to end up, but people that don't know she's little could see her fridge.

“Room?” She asks and Amanda stands up.

“Great idea sweetheart, let's go.” She says and Angela grabs her hand, pulling the adult to her room.

Angela points to a spot on the wall and Amanda tapes the picture up.

“Thanks you Manda.” She murmurs, giving her a hug.

Amanda kisses her forehead. “Anytime, my love”

She melts at the nickname. Amanda's never called her that before. She feels warm haze fall over her as she leans all of her weight into her arms.

Amanda chuckles, lifting the girl into her arms. “Hi, baby” she coos, carrying the girl back towards the table. “Do you wanna keep coloring, or do you wanna cuddle?” She asks, lightly patting the girls back.

She hums in thought. “Draw?” She asks and Amanda smiles, turning back to Angela's room and grabbing a pad of paper Chanse has bought her from her little drawer.

They get back to the table and Amanda places her back in her chair. Angela immediately starts drawing, only pausing to mumble a thank you for her sippy cup of juice.

Angela yawns after a while and Amanda checks the time. She swears quietly under her breath and Angela giggles.

“It's past your nap time.” She admits, “I got too distracted by coloring.”

Angela giggles, closing her pad of paper.

“Nap time?” She asks, holding her arms up.

Amanda nods, picking her up and taking her to her room, laying next to her.

“Sorry I lost track of time.” She mutters and Angela kisses her cheek.

“No sorry Manda.” She mutters back, burying her face in her neck.

“We'll have early dinner.” Amanda promises and she scrunches her nose.

“Garlic?” She asks hopefully and Amanda laughs.

“I’ll make sure it's somewhere in there.” She promises, and Angela nods, letting herself slowly drift off

“Gnight love you m-” she mumbles, falling asleep before she finishes her sentence.

Angela sits at the table again, continuing her drawing as Amanda cooks dinner. Anytime she tries to look, she covers it, not wanting Amanda to see it.

The little smiles softly at the smell of garlic, still excited when Amanda takes her thoughts into consideration, even if it's been that way for years at this point.

“Dinner’s almost ready, can you move your stuff for me and feed Spork?” she asks gently and Angela nods, carefully putting everything on an empty chair so she can put it back when she's done eating and filling Spork's bowl.

Amanda places down some chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and some broccoli.

The two talk through dinner, Angela immediately finishing her mashed potatoes, before pushing around her other food, occasionally taking a few bites.

As Amanda gets halfway through her plate, she makes her an offer. “Do you want more potatoes?” She asks, knowing the answer.

Angela nods, so she tells her the deal.

“You can have more either way, but Manda would love it if you could eat one more bite of each.” She explains, grabbing the girl's plate and grabbing her more potatoes.

She looks down at the plate and takes a bite of her chicken. She looks up and Amanda smiles proudly at her. Motivated, she takes a bite of broccoli, before diving back into her potatoes.

“That was so good, Angie.” She praises, “I'm so so proud of you.”

Angela beams at her, eating a few more bites of everything before pushing her plate away.

Amanda cleans off the table, kissing the little's head on the way to the sink.

The two quickly take Spork out to go potty, and then Angela takes out the art supplies again and the two continue with their art.

Angela finally finishes her drawing when Amanda says it's bedtime. She decides to save it for later to share it, leaving it face down on the table.

The two get ready for bed, Amanda now keeping her stuff at Angela’s place with her now sleeping over every other week.

Angela changes and gets ready on her own, and the two meet back up in Angela's bed, Amanda having all her stuff ready for her.

She crawls into her lap, resting her ear over her heart. “No story.” She mumbles sleepily, “please sing.”

Amanda gives her a surprised look, having never been asked that before, but she obliges her. Beginning to sing a gentle melody as the little latches to the bottle.

Angela looks up at her with love shining in her eyes as she listens to Amanda sing. She doesn't understand what she's saying, but she can feel the love pouring out of her.

As the song ends, Angela spits out the bottle that still has a little under half left.

Amanda looks down at her with concern. “Are you ok, baby?” She asks gently and Angela nods.

“Love you mama.” She says softly and Amanda lets out a surprised sound.

She holds her tighter, peppering her face with kisses. “I love you too, my precious little girl.” She whispers, tears in her eyes.

Angela reaches up to clumsily wipe the tears. “Happy tears mama?” She asks and Amanda makes a small sound again but nods.

“Mama is so so happy.” She says softly, with a smile.

Angela guides the bottle back into her mouth and she chuckles. “Thirsty baby” she coos, rubbing her thumb across the little's cheek. “Mama loves you so much.”

She finishes drinking and she smiles tiredly at Amanda. She wiggles out of her arms, rolling into her spot and attempting to pull her down with her.

Amanda laughs quietly, but lets herself be pulled down, wrapping her arms around her.

She kisses her forehead. “Goodnight baby.” She murmurs as Angela buries her face into her neck.

“Night mama,” she mumbles into her neck. “Love you”

“Love you too, Angel”

Amanda wakes up early the next morning, and decides to make breakfast, craving some coffee and pancakes. She walks into the kitchen and sees Angela's drawing pad on the table.

She stares at it, contemplating for a few minutes, when a voice speaks up behind her.

“Just look at it already.” a grown up Angela says sleepily, draping herself across her back.

Amanda pulls her into a hug and then flips it over.

On the page are five stick figures. Four humans and a dog.

Two girls stand together holding hands with a dog at their feet. The smaller girl is holding a boy's hand who is holding another boy's hand.

With the features the stick figures have, she can tell who's who, but there's labels under each person

Tomee, Buba, Angi, Sporky,

And under the one that looks like her

Mama
