   Summary

   Gravely wounded at the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, Éowyn is confined to the Houses of Healing for ten long days. Rest is demanded of her, while her thoughts remain fixed beyond the walls: on the war yet unfinished, and on Aragorn, whom she believes her heart is bound to follow.

   In the same quiet halls, Faramir lies recovering from wounds of both body and soul. Amid grief, disillusionment, and the slow work of healing, he finds an unexpected solace in Éowyn’s presence.

   As days pass, Faramir’s affection deepens into tender love. Éowyn, however, sees him only as a companion in recovery. But when the time comes to leave the Houses of Healing, and Faramir departs from her, she finds a gaping loss she cannot explain.

   Addendum 27 March 2026: This fic is part of a collection titled 'House of Dol Amroth'. The love stories of Imrahil's children - Elphir/Míriel, Erchirion/Nimrodel and Amrothos/Arwa and Éomer/Lothíriel are also in this series.

   Technically this fic should be ‘House of Húrin’ but I wanted to keep it together with the other stories in this collection.
