Summary
In her months of capture, deprived of nutrients and water, her body had entered into some sort of hibernation. That had to have been what happened, because she realized now- too late- that she hadn’t had a heat cycle in months. She was glad, in a way, because to endure one in captivity would’ve been a fate nearly as terrible as death, if not worse. But now that she was fed, taken care of, dare she think comfortable, it was about to hit her hard.
So… she’d just have to hunker down, then. Gather food and water for a week or so. And pray that she was left alone.
