Twisted Sisters

Summary:

“Your girlfriend is sleeping on my bed.” Robby says when Samira walks to him by the central hub. “Do you know how creepy it is to wake up and cuddle with my boyfriend, only to find your girlfriend on the other side? I cuddled with your girlfriend.”

Samira smiled, amused, “They come as a package deal, Robby. Learn to live with it.”

Robby and Dennis recently confirmed their serious relationship—placing a label and finally going exclusive. Snippets of Robby learning the hard way on how Trinity and Dennis come as a package deal.

Or; Robby: There were three of us in this relationship, so it’s a bit crowded.

Notes:

Hello! Welcome! 🥰 And a happy new year, everyone! May you all have a successful 2026 ahead of you and wishing The Pitt all success that they deserve in the incoming year. 🎉

A little love for the best friendship in the fandom because people are telling us hucklerobbists in X that we hate Trinity but it is false! We love her so much and this work is focused on their friendship with a side of Robby suffering and Samira being amused (as she should!!!)

I hope you all enjoy this! ❤️ But note that events in this work does not happen in just one day. It’s several snippets spanning over weeks. No definitive timeline, just random snippets :))

NOT BETA READ. Also, please turn on the ‘Show Creator’s Style’ ! Thank you!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Robby loves his boyfriend, Dennis Whitaker.

Robby is on cloud nine once Dennis and him already made their relationship official. Telling the rest of the staff (Trinity won, McKay argued that she had an edge because she’s Dennis’ best friend), filing paperwork in HR, Dennis having a key to his place and vice versa, and Trinity begrudgingly gave him her blessing.

It wasn’t easy to get her blessing. She was like a tough, big dog who protected the people who she considered her family. So when Robby was courting Dennis, he was also courting her too. Courting in ways of better cases given to her (not always but Trinity did notice and she loved it), having her favorite foods ordered to her when Dennis stayed over at his place, her favorite energy drinks stashed onto the break room and sometimes driving her to and from the hospital. That last one got them a little quarrel to say the least.

“So, I should drive Trinity to and from the hospital since you’re on nights?” Robby asks and Dennis nods as he stirs the warm soup on the pot. “Why? She has her own car and can drive.”

Dennis shrugs, “The roads are slippery and I don’t want her to be in an accident. And I’m with her girlfriend on the night shift so you are the next best thing. Come on, Mikey.”

“Oh so you don’t mind if I’m the one driving on the slippery and icy roads?” Robby throws his hands up to make a point and Dennis stays silent. “Oh my god, you don’t mind if I was the one driving?”

Dennis rolls his eyes, “Just do it! And make sure both of you are safe.”

Robby didn’t win the argument of course. For 3 weeks, he drove Trinity back and forth to the hospital under strict orders from Dennis. Trinity laughed at him for being whipped but he did enjoy her company (he wouldn’t admit it to her face). She gave him gossip that he didn’t really want to hear but it was ‘juicy gossip’ and she said that ‘he should be glad that she’s even telling him.’

It also didn’t help that the moment Trinity said that she gave her blessing, Dennis said yes to put a serious label into the relationship. It was like he was just waiting for her to actually confirm it and Robby is exasperated.

Robby woke up before his alarm went off. He grumbled as he had a shift but Dennis was off. He smiles when he sees the serene sleeping face of his boyfriend and wraps his arm around his waist, smiling slightly at the prospect of having extra time to cuddle with his boyfriend, when he feels a hand already there.

Wait, what? Robby thinks to himself when he feels a hand on his boyfriend’s waist that was a little dainty than he’s used to and when he explores his hands further, he finds a waist that is more slender and curvy compared to Dennis’ abdomen which had more structure and muscle on.

He lifts his head and his mouth is wide open in shock when he finds Trinity on the other side of the bed with Dennis sandwiched between him. He gags quietly and pulls his hand away quietly so that Trinity won’t wake up. He turned to the other side with a horrified look on his face and he sighed to himself.

After a few minutes of an internal monologue by himself, he sits up and now finds Trinity spooning Dennis and he closes his eyes shut. He takes a deep breath and exhales, getting his phone and turning off his alarm so it won’t bother the two residents. He gets up and goes to shower and is still confused on how Trinity got inside his apartment in the first place.

Since knowing that Trinity was inside the comfort of his home, Robby took his scrubs with him inside the bathroom to change into. As much as he wants to burst on how insanely weird his morning is, he’s still somewhat of a gentleman to not flash possibly his resident when she wakes up.

Robby sighs when he looks in the mirror and how dressed he is for the day and starts to brush his teeth when he notices an unfamiliar pouch sitting on his vanity. It was black in color and when he opens it, he finds skincare products that he knows aren't Dennis’—coming to a conclusion that it might be Trinity’s and he still doesn’t know why she’s even here.

Robby exits the bathroom to see Trinity and Dennis already sitting on the bed and trying to remove the sleepiness from their eyes. Robby smiles and presses a kiss on Dennis’ head who smiles back at him.

“Good morning both of you, need breakfast? I can reheat the breakfast wraps.” Robby said and Trinity nodded as she yawned. Dennis made sure he had pre-made meals already ready in his fridge, especially breakfast essentials because he knows Robby tends to skip them.

“That would be lovely, thanks, Michael.” Dennis says and already standing up, stretching to make the drowsiness leave his system. Robby smiles and wraps his arms around Dennis’ waist, giving him a peck on the lips. “Trin, you’re on shift right?” Dennis turns to Trinity who was texting on her phone who hums in agreement.

“Yeah. I’ll just shower then I’ll meet you both outside.” Trinity says so casually, as if she didn’t just traumatize Robby this morning. Trinity stands up and Robby turns away when he realizes that her shirt rides up as she stretches. Robby is just glad that she was courteous enough to wear long pajama pants. “See ya both.” Trinity said and went inside the bathroom.

Before Dennis can have a word out, Robby drags him to the kitchen and turns to him. “What is she doing here?” Robby asks, already taking out the breakfast wraps and putting on a pan on the stove to heat them up.

Dennis shrugs, “The heater broke down in the apartment and she was looking for another place to crash into for the night since it will be fixed later this morning.” He informed Robby as he started up a batch of coffee.

”And Mohan?” Robby asks cautiously. Trinity and Mohan moved in together at Trinity’s place when they reached 6 months in their relationship. Dennis hasn’t officially moved in with him but he’s here most of the time. They were only 4 months into their relationship and Robby didn’t want to move too fast when they were just recently exclusive.

“McKay offered her couch. Mohan wasn’t sure if you’d take her in for the night and just asked McKay. Trinity wanted to go with her but McKay didn’t have an extra room and her couch wasn’t a pull out one so they simply split up for the night.” Dennis informed Robby and the attending tried to think of a moment on where he was when this all happened.

“Wait, why wasn’t I informed?” Robby asked and Dennis eyes him.

“Robby, you went down the moment we got home. I was still awake by 10 in the evening and just invited her in. I offered her to lay beside me because your couch is not necessarily sleep material. It's fine.” Dennis said as he offered him a cup of coffee, and poured some on Robby’s tumblr.

“Okay?” Robby just said. He didn’t want to argue this morning. He just sighed and nodded, taking a seat on the bar stool as he ate his breakfast. “Okay, I guess it was a little weird for me because I woke up and I was cuddling her.” Robby lets out and Dennis laughs.

“Sorry, sweetie. Trinity does like to cuddle me when we sleep together.” Dennis said and Robby’s brain short circuit at Dennis not even bothered by Robby’s trauma. It also didn’t help that that specific statement can be interpreted in a whole different light even if both residents’ attraction doesn’t really interlock.

“Hey Huck.” Trinity comes out of Robby’s bedroom with wet hair and scrubs on but barefooted. Robby figures that her shoes are in the coat closet as she has a bundle of socks in her hands. Trinity places a kiss on Dennis’ cheek who smiles and Trinity sits on one of the bar stools beside Robby.

Robby is so weirded out especially when he feels like he’s intruding in something when he’s the one in the relationship. Robby just smiled politely at the gossip being shared in breakfast wraps and coffees. Eventually, Dennis bids them farewell and tells Robby that he’ll bring over Trinity’s belongings to their apartment within the day and check for updates for the heater. He simply kisses him goodbye and Trinity and him go to their shifts.

It was silent on the way to the hospital but Trinity did thank him for not minding her stay in his place and he was just polite about it. He hasn’t recovered from it.

He loves Dennis and he cares for Trinity. He knows that Dennis does put Trinity on a high priority in his list and he knows he’s a priority too and he just has to accept it but maybe with the age gap and different generations makes him hard to accept because he hasn’t experienced or witnessed such a thing before in the people in his age group. He never did this with Heather or with Janey.

Robby sighs and Dana looks at him with curiosity on his face. “What’s up, captain?”

“Hey Dana.” He turns to see Samira already ready to take in another patient. Dana smiles at her and Robby simply looks at her and she raises her eyebrow.

“Wha—“

”Your girlfriend is sleeping on my bed.” Robby says and Dana looks at the two doctors with amusement on her face. “Do you know how creepy it is to wake up and cuddle with my boyfriend, only to find your girlfriend on the other side? I cuddled with your girlfriend, oh god.” Robby complained with a grimace and Dana laughed at him.

Samira rolls her eyes and smiles, amused, “They come as a package deal, Robby. Learn to live with it.”

“How did this happen?” Dana inquires.

“The heater at Trinity’s broke down and I went to Cassie’s but since she couldn’t host two people, Trin went to Robby’s place and stayed there. I’m assuming that Trinity jumped on your bed?” Samira laughs at his predicament.

“Oh yeah, those two come as a pair, Robby. I thought you understood that while you were courting her when you were courting Whitaker.” Dana crossed her arms with a smirk on her face. “Can’t help you out there, captain. Good luck!”

Dana and Samira laugh as they go their separate ways and Robby huffs in frustration before resuming back to work.

”Hey!”

Robby yells out as Trinity barges into their bedroom in Robby’s place. Robby and Dennis were making out on their bed, hopefully to lead into something more before they sleep and Trinity comes barging in with Dairy Queen on her hands.

“Hey, Trin.” Robby looks at Dennis with an exasperated expression but he just waves him off.

“Santos, how did you even get in?” Robby rubs his face and Trinity shrugs as she goes to Dennis’ side and makes herself comfortable.

“I have a key.”

“When did you get a key?”

“I gave her a copy.”

”This is my apartment?”

“Oh come on, Michael. Just leave it.” Dennis calms him down and gets a cup of Dairy Queen ice cream from Trinity’s hands. ”What’s up?”

“Oh I heard some gossip, did you know that Dr. Wilson, the asshole from Cardio is getting fired?” Trinity puts a mouthful of ice cream in her mouth.

“No!” Dennis exclaimed and Robby sighs as he relaxes onto the warmth of the bed and his thick comforter. “What? Why? Did you hear?”

“No. There were rumors that he went against the admin but I’m not so sure yet.” Trinity says and Robby relaxes his arm against his forehead.

“That’s a shame, he’s a really good doctor.” Robby speaks up but there is silence that follows. Robby looks over and the two residents just look at him. “You’re not talking to me, are you?” Both of them shake their heads and Robby playfully rolls his eyes.

He sits up and takes his phone. “I’ll make hot chocolate?” He looked at them with a tired expression and both of them nodded with glee. He takes a deep breath and leaves the two residents to gossip on their own.

”Oh wow, what smells so good?” Robby wakes up to find Dennis baking in his kitchen. He wraps his arms around the intern’s waist who purrs in affection and tilts his head so Robby can kiss his lips. “What are you making, pretty boy?”

Dennis points to the cookies that were resting on the cooling rack, “Samira wanted Choco-chip cookies and Trinity told me so I’m making some for them.” Dennis says as he places another batch inside the oven after scooping them out.

Robby smiles and reaches to take one but Dennis slapped his hand away, albeit a little too hard.

“Ouch!?” Robby looked shocked and withdrew his hand back.

“Those are for them, not for you.” Dennis points out and takes a sip of tea. “I’m making them a dozen and I’m going to drive it to their place. I have to get some stuff there anyway.”

Robby raised his eyebrows up to his hairline, “And I don’t get cookies?” He asks.

“Did you want cookies?” Dennis asks with a small smile on his face.

“Now that they’re available in my house, yes, I do.” Robby nods and tries to reach for another one but withdraws his hand back when he sees Dennis raising his eyebrow, challenging him. “What, I can’t have cookies in my own home made by my beautiful boyfriend?”

“Not if you didn’t ask for them.” Dennis jokes and nods to the oven. “Your batch is coming. Wait for 10 minutes.” Dennis hands him a mug with some coffee and Robby rolls his eyes.

“Oh wow, you’re making me wait in my own home.” Robby jokes and Dennis playfully rolls his eyes as he crouches down at the level of the oven to check over the cookies. “So if I ask if I want you to bake something for me, you’ll do it?” Robby asks, hopeful. Dennis laughs, stands up and gives him a kiss as he leans over the counter.

“Of course, sweetie. Then I’ll make more and we can share it with Trinity.”

Robby playfully rolls his eyes and sips his cup of coffee. Of course, whatever Dennis makes, Trinity always has a share of her own.

“Here you go, Trin. A matcha latte for you. And I already gave Mira her coffee too.” Dennis places down the Starbucks drink onto the counter where Trinity was staying at. Dennis was on the night shift to help out for a week and ordered Trinity her favorite when she got in.

“Thanks, Huck!” Trinity gives him a side hug in which he returns.

“No coffee for me?” Robby jokes, slightly pouting, as he places his bag onto the counter.

“She asked.” Dennis shrugs and Robby smiles.

“I thought being in a relationship meant telepathic communication. And I need coffee.” Robby points out.

“The break room has coffee.” Dennis points back.

“Ooo, Whitaker - 1, Robinavitch - 0.” Jack laughs as he witnesses this exchange.

“I’m sorry, I thought you were leaving?” Robby snaps at Jack who sheepishly smiles.

“I am just a willing witness when you lose. See you guys later! Nice job today, Whitaker.” Jack pats his back then leaves the vicinity.

Dennis looks at Robby with a smile. “Your coffee, great Sir, is with Dana. She’s in the break room.” Dennis leans to Robby’s cheek and presses a kiss there. “I love you. I also have your favorite flatbread there.”

“God, you are amazing.” Robby says and presses a light kiss on his hair. He wants to kiss him on the lips but they’re currently standing in the central hub. “I have some breakfast left in my place. You can crash there if you want.”

“Oh wow, nice of you to offer. I will take up on it.” Dennis smiles and wears his backpack over his shoulder. “Bye, good luck!”

Robby later is seen munching on a flatbread and sipping his Starbucks coffee slowly but surely—loving the sweet ‘loves you, Mikey!’ Written on the coffee cup in blue ink, written beside the name ‘Dennis,’ which was written in a different handwriting and in black ink.

Robby wakes up when he feels the other side of the bed being cold. He looks up to see Dennis putting on a hoodie—his hoodie. He sits up and groggily looks at the clock next to him and he sees that it’s 1 in the morning.

“Honey, where are you going?” Robby asks, voice still husky from sleep. “It’s 1 in the morning, where are you going?”

”Samira and Trin were out at a bar and they couldn’t get an Uber for 30 minutes now. They asked if I could go get them.” Dennis says and takes Robby’s keys to the car. ”I’m taking your car and I’ll be back in a few.” Dennis kisses him on the lips and Robby grabs his wrist.

“Honey, we can just try and get them an Uber from here. Get back to sleep.” Robby says, as he knows Dennis has a shift later in the morning, as well as Robby.

“Robby, they’re intoxicated and I can’t just leave them there. They might not have a shift later but they need to get home.” Dennis says, frustration lacing his tone.

Robby looks at the intern who refuses to back down. Robby sighs and takes the keys on the intern’s hands and before Dennis can complain, Robby gets up and grabs a hoodie from his closet. He ruffles his hair and places a kiss on Dennis’ forehead who seems to calm down.

“I’ll go and drive. Just make sure you can still contact them.” Robby said and already is walking out the bedroom door. Robby was putting on some shoes and he looked back to see a guilt-ridden Dennis standing behind him. He stands up and smiles at the intern. Robby wraps his arms around Dennis who, because of the guilt, doesn’t do the same. “Honey, I’m fine. Let’s go get them and then go back to bed, hm?”

Dennis buries his head on his chest and Robby takes his time running his fingers through the ever-growing curls of his boyfriend, “I’m sorry. I know it’s ridiculous to do—” Robby kisses him before he can even say another word. Dennis relaxes under his arms and wraps his own around Robby’s neck, pulling him even closer.

Robby pulls away and places a sweet kiss on Dennis’ forehead. “Let’s go?”

Dennis nods and they rush to get Samira and Trinity home.

Robby wakes up to his phone going off. Someone was calling him.

He grumbles and sees that his boyfriend is calling him at 8 in the morning. He was off for the day since it was the weekend unlike Dennis who wanted to max out the amount of hours he was legally allowed to be at work without overtime.

Ah, you don’t see that much everyday. Robby used to think of himself when he knew that not many people can do that, most often rejecting the idea of more time at work and would rather relax, especially in their workplace.

“Hello?” Robby grumbles and he hears a sigh on the other side.

“Robby, thank god you picked up.” He hears Dennis and he gets alarmed.

“Why, what happened?” A massive pile up? Another mass shooting? Did Dana get hurt? Did Dennis get hurt?

”Trinity is out sick and no one is there to care for her. Can you go and pick out some medications and soup for her?” Dennis asks and Robby facepalms.

”She has a girlfriend?” Robby says, he can literally see Dennis rolling his eyes.

“Look, you’re not here and Samira is a senior resident now so hello? She just can’t leave work so you have to go and take care of Trinity!” Dennis orders him on the phone and Robby rubs his face.

“Love,” Robby starts and takes a deep breath, “I am off for today because I need the rest. I think I can Uber Trinity some soup and medicine.” Robby grumbles.

“You will be doing none of that! Go get some ingredients to make soup, make soup, give her medicine and take care of her, or else!” Dennis says sternly over the phone.

“Or else what?”

“No sex for a week!”

“Ok.”

“Michael Robinavitch!”

“Yeah, fine, alright!” Robby says, getting up from bed. Either way he can’t survive a week without sex, even if it kills him.

“Good.” Dennis says and it goes silent. “I love you.”

Robby rolls his eyes but smiles. He just can’t resist Dennis. At this point, Robby has to get used to the fact that Trinity is very near and dear to Dennis. Just because she has a girlfriend of her own, doesn’t mean that Dennis will cut back on taking care of her. Now Robby gets why Samira doesn’t even look a bit bothered at the friendship between the twisted sisters, it’s because she understands and Robby has to start doing it too.

“I love you too. I’ll send you hourly updates with Mohan.” Robby says, already in his acceptance stage.

Robby then hung up, got up to shower, changed into comfortable clothing and went to the store to buy some ingredients for a simple soup. He figures that chicken noodle soup that is homemade can suffice and judging from the thumbs up that both Samira and Dennis gave him (he rolled his eyes at this), he went to Trinity’s place.

Dennis told him where to find the extra key and he made himself at home, already cooking while arranging the medication on a specific time schedule. When the soup was ready, he knocked first on Trinity’s door but with no answer, he just barged in.

Trinity had a mini heart attack seeing his attending and thought she was hallucinating but after Robby explained that Dennis and Samira ordered him to be there, she calmed down.

She ate, she slept, she was independent (Robby tried to feed her but she glared at him and he just sat on her window nook as he waited for her to finish), she drank the medication. Robby was glad that she wasn’t a pain in the ass when sick (unlike Dennis but he won’t admit it because he just loves taking care of him).

A little over 6 in the evening, Trinity emerged from her room and saw Robby on her couch, doing work on his laptop while the television was on playing a movie in a low volume. Robby turned his head towards Trinity and he smiled at her.

“Feeling better?” He asked, eyes now back to his laptop. Trinity hummed and sat beside him, placing a space between them, she didn’t say anything, she was just silent. Robby eyed Trinity and just decided to ask, “What do you need, Santos?”

Trinity looked apprehensive to ask but she shut her eyes and then asked, “I get cuddles when I’m sick.” Trinity then avoids his eyes but she has a flush on her face.

Robby looked at Trinity with wide eyes. The statement basically said itself, ‘I get cuddles when I’m sick, can you cuddle with me?’And Robby sighed.

“Santos, are you really comfortable with me, an older guy, cuddling with you?” Robby asks. She might be asking him right now, and she might be Dennis’ best friend but Robby knows Trinity is the person who sets very strict boundaries and can be a bit aggressive towards people of authority, especially men. He noticed it during her first few weeks when she was an intern. “If not, you can just lay on my shoulder and sleep there while I work.”

Trinity brightens at the idea and nods, settling down beside Robby and placing her head on his shoulder, snuggling against the thick comforter. Robby waits for a few minutes as he doesn’t want to disturb her with his typing. He notices that her breathing has evened out and he nods to himself as he continues to work.

An hour later, Dennis and Samira came into the apartment to see Robby asleep, his head resting against the backrest of the couch and Trinity, also asleep, laying on his shoulder. What was really adorable was how for some reason, a small portion of Trinity’s blanket was over one of Robby’s legs and Robby’s laptop was neatly placed on the coffee table.

The thing is, Robby last remembered taking a nap with his laptop still on his lap.

A week later, Robby finds Trinity outside his door with a pan of mango graham cake, a common Filipino dessert that she made herself, as a thank you for him taking care of her. Robby enjoys every single bite with a smile.

”I heard you had a rough shift!” Dennis says as he goes to Trinity who had a frown on her face, completely the opposite of Dennis, who has a smile on his face. “I got you something.”

Trinity groans but she catches a glimpse of the paper bag on his hands and lightens up, “Oh what is this, Huckleberry?!” She exclaims, and pulls out, “Oh! It’s a pan au chocolat and it’s still warm! Oh you love me so much!”

Trinity hugs the intern with a smile on her face. She did have a rough night shift and Dennis, coming in for his day shift, had to do something to keep her happy before she went to bed.

“And Robby, did you get a pan au chocolat?” Samira fuels the flames with a smirk on her face, who kisses Trinity on the cheek before leaving to the locker room.

“No I did not!” Robby yells out and the rest of the staff who were there to witness the exchange, laughed.

“Oh Robby, you’re third-wheeling your own relationship.” Shen brings up, more than rage baits him and the chief attending glares at him.

“I’m sorry, don’t you have charts to finish?” Robby snaps.

“Don’t you have a home to wreck?” Shen retorts back and Jack laughs out loud.

“Oooo, John Shen - 1, Michael Robinavitch - 0. Come on, brother. Step up!” Jack pats his head and Robby rolls his eyes. “Alright, night shift! Get the fuck out before Robby explodes at us!”

”I will not!”

“Why are the both of you looking so judgemental?” Robby asks as he finds the two residents on the nurses station who are eyeing something at a certain distance with disdain. “And why aren’t you working?”

“We are working, hello?” Trinity sasses and Robby rolls his eyes. “Hey, do you have any gossip on Dr. Miller? I always get the bad vibes from him.”

Dennis now leans forward and gives his own opinion, “I think that he has a fetish for medical students and nurses.”

“Wow, I can’t believe you, the intern, just said that to your boyfriend, the chief attending.” Trinity points out sarcastically and chuckles when Dennis glares at her. “Ok fine, I get it. Since Robby loves you and all and it’s not just a fetish.” Trinity then fake gags.

“More like a kink for me.” Dennis whispers and Trinity slaps his shoulder.

Robby rubs his face in frustration at the sudden turn of events. He knows that Dennis is joking (in a way) and that he always found older men attractive. Even if Robby’s back is killing him, is very high risk of a hip replacement soon and takes awhile to get an erection with almost no chances of a second round, Dennis still looks at him with stars and love in his eyes.

“Are you two done?” Robby crosses his arms and both residents roll their eyes.

“Not yet if you have gossip!” Dennis whispers and Robby’s eyebrows meet his hairline. He is deeply amused by how much of a gossip Dennis is (with Trinity’s influence).

Robby looks around and leans forward, letting the residents lean as well.

“I just heard he’s the reason why nurses in the neurology department have started to call in their union representative to report possible ‘sexual harassment’ and that HR is making a seminar on proper professional conduct between different members of the healthcare team.” Robby whispers and both residents have their mouths agape.

Robby simply smiles at them and leaves before giving another commentary on the gossip and dirt he knows on (far too many) doctors. When he looks back, he sees Dennis mouth, ‘tell me more later’ and Trinity giving him a stern glare and he smiles as he continues to walk away.

Samira was in a conference in Virginia for her research which resulted in Trinity being in Robby’s apartment tonight.

“Hahaha! Oh my god! How drunk are you?!” Dennis cackles at Trinity who tried to dance with the princesses in the 12 Dancing Princesses and falling onto the floor. Dennis was tipsy but Trinity was fucked the moment she saw Robby’s collection of expensive hard liquor in his cabinet.

Trinity doesn’t respond but she does get up and goes to the bathroom. Robby, who was entering the apartment, hears the retching on his bathroom floor while Dennis continues to laugh on the couch, with a Barbie movie playing in a loud volume. He also finds a pizza box on the coffee table and his hard liquor (2 bottles).

“Mind explaining what happened here?” Robby had an amused look on his face as he walked in further to his apartment. He was strangely amused by someone who had a long shift, hard liquors out of the cabinet, a princess movie on the television and one of his residents vomiting in his bathroom.

Dennis then calmed down but laughed out loud again when Trinity went out of the guest bathroom and groaned. “Urgh, you suck Huckleberry. You didn’t even pull my hair back.” Trinity said as she slumped down on the couch, already taking in another shot of hard whiskey.

“Your hair is pulled back by a ponytail!”

“Yeah?! But the support might be nice?”

“Alright, kids.” Robby says and takes the whiskey bottle from Trinity’s hands which causes her to whine. “Wash your faces and I’ll clean up here. Go, now.” He says sternly.

The two residents stare at him until Trinity goes and walks (more like wobbles) to the guest bathroom. Dennis raises his arms to Robby who chuckles and sits down beside Dennis, hugging him. Dennis hummed in satisfaction as he blankets over Robby, still tipsy.

Robby let his boyfriend blanket him but he noticed that Trinity had not left the bathroom.

“My love, I’m going to check on Trinity. She’s been there for 10 minutes now.” Robby says and Dennis sobered up. Both of them walked to the guest bathroom only to see Trinity on the bathroom floor, asleep and snoring. Both of them stifle a laugh and Robby speaks up, “I’ll go carry her to the bed, hmm?”

Dennis hums and places his hand onto Robby’s chest, lightly caressing him over his scrub shirt, “She can sleep on the couch? A few blankets and some pillows can make it more comfortable.” Dennis bites his lip and Robby smirks.

“Oh? I kinda like this idea.” Robby lowers his voice and places a kiss on his boyfriend’s forehead. ”Can you get the extra pillows and blankets from the closet?”

Dennis did set up the couch with Robby’s help who placed a glass of water and some Tylenol for Trinity if she wakes up. Robby also insisted on having Dennis look over Robby carrying Trinity to the couch—Dennis eventually realized that Robby had asked him so Trinity would not freak out in the morning when she woke up.

The sight of Trinity smiling and snuggling against the comfortable blankets and pillows made the both of them smile. Dennis rests his hands on Robby’s bicep and smiles at him.

”Thank you. For not freaking out about us, the drinking and for helping Trinity get to bed.” Dennis said and Robby smiled back at him.

“Anytime, don’t worry.” Robby says and pulls Dennis closer to his body, “As much as I want to have sex right now, I don’t think it is right with Trinity in the next room.” Robby admitted and Dennis quietly laughed.

“Yeah, now that I’m becoming more sober, it's not a good idea.” Dennis said. “I love you.” He whispers.

“I love you too.” Robby said and looked at Dennis, “let’s go and head to bed?”

The next morning, Robby was glad that Trinity took some cooking lessons from Dennis to impress Samira because she made waffles as a thank you and sorry for Robby.

“Does it bother you that I place Trinity in a higher priority at times?” Dennis asks while cuddling with Robby after an intimate night together.

Robby was playing with Dennis’ hair while puffing out a cigarette. Both of them were smokers and it was an apartment where smoking was allowed, so they did so in Robby’s bedroom at times, Robby especially since he liked having a cigarette after sex. “Before, maybe but recently, not really.” Robby shrugs.

“Really?’ Dennis leans forward to look at him properly. “I kinda wanna say sorry that I can be a jerk to you at times when I have to care for her, you know?” Dennis admits while his face to chest is flushed.

Robby extinguishes his cigarette and turns to his boyfriend, giving him a kiss on his forehead. “Maybe because I haven’t experienced it at all with the people I’ve dated before but now I realized that Santos is your best friend and she will always be an important person in your life. If I can’t accept that then I shouldn’t love you. You, right now, I love you as you are and apart of that is Santos’ doing. She’s your person and I accept that.” Robby points out and Dennis smiles at him, giving him another deep kiss then pulling away.

“I love you, thank you for understanding.” Dennis says and then lays down onto Robby’s chest, inhaling and exhaling the musky scent of sex on his body then smiling against it.

“I love you too.” Robby kisses his lips who lets out a sound of satisfaction against his lips, “She’s always welcome in your life, my life and maybe this apartment too.” Robby says and Dennis nods against his chests.

“Thank you.” Dennis simply says, knowing that Robby already knows how much Dennis is grateful for him now.

“Though, if I get a new house like a townhouse, she can have her own room there too?” Robby brings up and this makes Dennis jolt, sitting up with a shocked expression as he takes in the huge grin on his face.

“What?”

“What?” Robby mocks and laughs when Dennis slaps him using a pillow.

“Michael Robinavitch!”

“Okay okay! Don’t go full naming me now.” Robby says and sits up a little. “I wanted to ask you if you want to move in with me but I bought a townhouse recently. I’m in my 50s and I’m in a serious relationship where both of us know that we’ll reach a specific chapter in our lives. I’m a bit overdue to get a house instead of an apartment.” Robby explains and Dennis just looks at him in shock.

“You are so stupid!”

“What?!”

“You bought a townhouse as a romantic gesture?! What is this, the 1970s?!”

“I mean, I was born in the 70s—“

“Michael Robinavitch!”

“Alright!”

Both of them turn silent in an attempt to calm down and now Robby gets a little nervous that maybe this won’t go as he imagined it to be for the past few weeks. Robby watches as Dennis gets through the first stage of trying to think (his hands rub his arms and his face) to the second stage (Dennis would stand up and pace but not say a word), until he gets to the last stage (acceptance, he sighs then will speak).

“Okay,” Dennis says, grabbing Robby’s hands as he sits on the bed, beside Robby. “I love the gesture, I do. I guess it can be overwhelming because a house is a big thing and you’d be paying for it and it might take me years before I can contribute to it.”

“Honey, I have so much money saved up and it was actually easy to pay for it since I tend to be very frugal. I never got a house before because I never saw the appeal of settling down even if I dated around and now, I have you and I want our life to be somewhere that is perfect for us.” Robby said.

It was true. It wasn’t an issue with Robby and both of them did have a talk that they wanted this relationship in the long run, with marriage and settling down with each other in mind. A reason why both of them were comfortable in the first place.

Dennis nods, “Trinity will actually have a room there?” He asked with a bright voice and Robby nodded.

“Mohan and her can design it if they want.” Robby said and Dennis’ eyes shone with tears. He sniffles and gives Robby a smile.

“Okay, then we’re doing this then? Less than a year together and we have a house together?” Dennis laughs at the absurdity but Robby smiles and nods.

“Who knows? Maybe less than 2 years together and we might get married.” Robby jokes and Dennis playfully slaps his chest. “I’m kidding! Come on, let’s get some sleep. We have a shift tomorrow.”

Robby and Dennis cuddle as both of their breathings eventually even out. Robby glances at one of the drawers that held a small box with a beautiful ring hidden on before he smiles and drowns in his sleep.

They eventually get married. Robby and Dennis were having their first dance until he pulls away and Trinity replaced Robby’s place—the two, then residents, now attending, were having a dance as well. Dennis catches Robby’s eyes who winks at him as Dennis happily dances with Trinity.

Eventually, Trinity also has a dance with Robby, telling him that she’s grateful for him and what he has done for her. Especially when she has a similar looking box in her bag with a beautiful diamond ring and hopefully will end up on Samira’s finger at the end of the week.

Notes:

I do like to think that (in a perfect world) Trinity and Robby are like those siblings that aren’t too close but would die for each other. I have friends that we aren’t so close but god, I would kill for them and I’m projecting that onto Robby and Trinity’s friendship (in a perfect world btw).

Trinity Santos, you bewitched me so much with your complexity and the facade you put on but the kindness that still seeps through it because you have such a big heart and it shows between the cracks of an imperfect facade. So kind, so pretty, so whimsical, so headstrong and will always be the perfect (imperfect) person ever and don’t you worry because I will fight for you. You need more people in your corner and I hope S2 brings that to you!!! 🥺❤️

I hope you all enjoyed this! Thank you for reading and leave a kudos or a comment for me :)) Happy new year! 🎉
