Summary:

6 teenagers wake up on a hill without remembering anything but their names and nothing showing how they got here. They soon to find that they're alone in this world, or so they thought. Notes:

“Oh, hello there. I see you come to witness a story that The Creator had created. Well, he must really trust you if he wants to share it with you. Anyways, before you ask, my name is not important at the moment. I’m not in any way related to the story, either. Well, that’s not entirely true… mainly because I’m telling the story to you. But, that's enough chit chat; you're here to witness a story, and a story I’ll tell. Now before I start, I should warn you. The perspective is not from mine, I’m just simply telling it from…. You’ll find out soon enough. Now, enough chit chat, let us begin….”

Chapter 1: The Awakening

Chapter Text

As I begin to open my eyes, I find myself to be laying down on soft grass. My body feels sore and my head aches. I begin to sit up and clench my head. “Arg…. uh… what… happened?” I said. As I sit up and look around, I see that there are other people here who are all unconscious. I began to question what I was doing here, what they were doing here, and why we were all unconscious. All these questions but with no answer.

However, my questioning was put on hold when I saw one of the people had a bloody arm. “Oh shit…uh oh.” I immediately get up and make my way over to the guy. He looked to be a young male adult, with light brown hair, wearing a blue jacket, a white shirt, and gray jeans. I then proceed to try and shake him to wake him up. “Hey, wake up… come on… get up.” He then starts to open his eyes. I saw that he had brown eyes. I say, “Hey, you're awake… thank god… you ok?” He then responds, “w…what happened? Who are you?”

That question made me realize… I don’t remember who I am. Who was I? What was my name? With this pondering, a name popped up in my head. “Nate… My name is Nate. Now… are you ok? Your arm looks very messed up.” He sits up and looks at his arm. “Oh shit… yeah that looks really bad.” He looks very concerned. Then gets up and says, “Well Nate, do you know where we are exactly?” “No, I don’t…” I say.

He looks at me and asks, “Do you at least know where I can patch up my arm?” I look at him, then I look around the area. “Well I think I see a house up in the distance. Maybe there is something there that could help?” I said. “Possibly, however, I don’t think I should move right now.” He responded.

I stood there thinking. I think the house was something good to check out, but he doesn’t want to risk making his injury worse. What about the rest, if we did make our way to the house, someone else could wake up and might make the situation worse. But if we don’t patch up the injury anytime soon, he could very well die.

During my pondering, the guy spoke up. “What if you go check out the house while I stay here?”
“H-Huh? Really?” I say.
“Yeah! And don’t worry if anyone wakes up, I will be here to explain the situation.” He says.
I stand up and say, “Well alright, stay here. I’ll be right back….”
“Ryan. My name is Ryan.” He says
“Well, Ryan, I’ll be right back. I’m going to go check out the house now.” I say. I then proceeded to walk off the hill we were standing on.

After a twenty minute walk, I finally made it to the house. The house's exterior looks worn down; almost as if it hadn’t been used in years. The house looks to be a two story house. It looks to be pretty big, almost as big as a modern house. I wonder why it’s out in the middle of nowhere. After seeing the exterior, I walk up to the door and knock on it.

When I heard no answer from knocking on the door, I proceeded to push the door open. It opened with ease. As I opened the door, the room it led to was fully dark. Against my better judgment, I went into the building. With the outside light creeping in from the open door, I could see the room a bit more clearly. The room was the entire first floor, there were not any walls separating most of the things in here. To the left of me, near the wall, was a ripped up couch and to the right of me was a somewhat stable staircase to the second floor.

When I entered the room more, I saw that to the far right was a big wooden table with a couple of chairs. Some of the chairs were broken. Past the table was a boarded up window. To the far left was an open kitchen that had one wall that was turned into a ledge. The open wall was facing towards the couch. To the far right of me was a door that was right past the bottom of the stairs. I went to the door and opened it.

As I opened the door, I saw that the room was a small room that was likely used as a closet. There were ripped up clothes, shoes, and extra stuff. I searched that room for any medical supplies or bandages. I didn’t find any of that. However, there was something of use. I found an unused candle on a candle holder and an old lighter. Very convenient. I took both of them and lit the candle. After I did that, I brought it with me and made my way upstairs.

After I made my way up the stairs, I saw a corner going to the left. Turning left at the corner, I saw a long hallway with many doors. After checking a few doors, I saw that some of the rooms were either spare bedrooms or extra storage. In one of the rooms that I had assumed to carry extra storage, I found a lot, and I mean a lot of medical supplies. There was enough to make an entire makeshift cast for Ryan. Before I descended down the stairs after finding the supplies, I looked at the door at the end of the hallway. I wondered what was in there. I know I needed to get this to Ryan as fast as possible, but something was telling me to go into the room.

Eventually, I decided what harm could a small peak do. I made my way to the end of the hall and opened the door. Inside was what I assumed to be the master bedroom. There was a king sized bed that was straight ahead from the door, a closet to the left of me, another door, which I could assume would be the bathroom, to the far right of me, and a desk to the right of me. I went to the desk and there was something on it. It was a diary, or so I think. There was also a note. The note said this:

“To whom that finds this, I have decided to leave this world behind. My adventures here have been fun, but it’s time for them to come to a close. Now it’s time to return to where I came from inorder to start over. Live a new life. However, even though my adventures are over, for now, that doesn’t mean everything I’ve built will go to waste. I will trust that whoever finds this, you can continue where I left off. Everything you need to survive and more is documented and explained in my diary. Also, if you wish to find out who I am, I have left my mark on many different places in this world. You just need to find it and connect the dots. I shall wish you good luck on the adventures you shall discover.
From ——— DJ”

After I read the note, I had so many questions flowing through my head. Who was DJ? Is he dead? Did he kill himself or did he leave the area? How long has he been gone? All of these questions plus more were spiraling through my brain. However, I was snapped back to reality after I heard something hit the floor hard. It came from outside of the room. I took the note and diary and went over to the door and took a look at what it was. One of the paintings that were on the wall had fallen off due to the string finally giving out.

However, I saw that there was a cubby hole right where the painting used to be. I went over and took a look inside it. Inside it was a sword and sheath. I was somewhat surprised and confused as to why this was in the wall. However, I didn’t think about it too much because I remembered why I came to this house in the first place. “Oh… SHIT” I yelled. I then put the book and note in my inside jacket pocket and put the sheath on my back. I grabbed as much medical supplies that I could carry and ran out of the house.

I ran all the way back to the hill and Ryan was sitting there, waiting for me. “HEY! RYAN! I FOUND SOMETHING!” I yelled. He looked at me when I made it on top of the hill and said, “What took you so long?”
“I got a bit distracted…. However I did find something that should help your arm.” I said.
“Well that's good. I have been trying to stop the bleeding while you were away.” He replied.
I then see that one of his sleeves has been ripped off and is wrapped around his arm. I then begin to start to make a splint for him and put it on his arm. This took about an hour and when I finished, another person woke up. It was a female. She had long, light blue hair with blue eyes and she was wearing a light gray jacket and a pair of black pants. She got up and I looked at her and said, “Ah, you're finally awake. Are you ok?” She looked at me and said, “W-Where am I? W-Who are you?” She looks very scared. Ryan then says, “Don’t be afraid, we won’t hurt you. We are actually in a similar situation to you.”
“Allow us to introduce ourselves, my name is Nate and this is Ryan. We woke up a bit ago and we don’t know exactly where we are at the current moment.” I say.
“Now, can you tell us your name, if you even remember it.” Ryan says.
“My name? It’s….. It’s….” She says. She then starts to think and then says, “Kaitlyn…. My name is Kaitlyn.”
“Well Kaitlyn, it’s nice to meet you.” I say.
“Hey Nate, what else did you find in that house?” Ryan asks.
“Well I found this note and a diary. Here, you can read the note if you want.” I say and hand him the note.

After reading the note, Ryan looks at me and says, “Huh… Well this is interesting…. If the owner no longer lives there, it might be a good idea to stay there, at least for a little while.” I nod in agreement.
“Wait, what about them?” Kaitlyn says and points to the other three people who are unconscious.
“We shall bring them with us.” I say.

After a bit of conversing, we decided that Kaitlyn would carry one person and I carry the other two. Ryan can’t because of his arm. It took an entire hour, but we eventually made it to the house. After we entered the house, we set the three unconscious people on the broken couch. Kaitlyn wanted to go and check out the house, so I decided to show her around. Ryan decided to stay there with the unconscious people just in case they wake up. There wasn’t much to show besides the stuff upstairs. After showing her where the bedrooms were, she looked a bit concerned.
“What's wrong?” I asked.
“Well… there are only three beds, right?” She replied.
“Yeah….and- oh…. I see now…” I said.
I had now realized what she was thinking. There were only three beds, but there were six people. I sat there and pondered about how we should go about this. Kaitlyn also looked like she wanted to know how this would work. My pondering was put on a pause because Ryan was calling us to go downstairs. Once we got downstairs, we saw that the other people had finally woken up. Kaitlyn, Ryan and I decided to explain the situation to them. After we explained the situation to them, they were trying to process everything.

“So, you're telling me that we all woke up without any memories?” Said the first person. He looks to be a young male adult with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black shirt with ripped up jeans and he looked to have a scar on his arm.

“And that we were just stranded on a hill, out in the open? With no hint as to how we got there?” One of the other people said. They looked to be a female with long blonde hair, which reached down to their shoulders. They were wearing a light pink sweatshirt with light blue jeans.

“I know that it sounds a bit…. Unbelievable, but that is what happened.” Kaitlyn replied to them.

After a bit of silence I said, “I think we should properly introduce ourselves. My name is Nate, the one with a broken arm is Ryan and the girl beside me is Kaitlyn.” As I said their names, they said hi.

The girl that has been quiet for a bit spoke up and said, “My name is Misty.” She looked to have long black hair with blue eyes and was wearing a very dark hoodie with black pants. After Misty told us her name, the other two sighed and told us their names. The guy with black hair's name is Bryan and the blonde-haired girl’s name is Ashley. Ryan, Kaitlyn, and I greeted them properly.

After a bit of chatting and getting them to trust us, I noticed that it was getting dark. Kaitlyn and I addressed to everyone else the issue with there being six of us, but only three beds. All of us conversed and the group decided that Kaitlyn would sleep on the couch and everyone else would sleep in the remaining rooms. I would take the master bedroom, Ashley and Misty would be in one guest bedroom, and Ryan and Bryan, ironically, would be in the other guest bedroom.

After the rooms were assigned for the night, we all headed to our respective rooms. Once I got to the master bedroom, I got curious about what I didn’t check out in here. I then decided to look around the room and made my way to the other door in the room. Once I got to the door, opened it and went in, I found myself in a small room with a mirror in it. When I looked at my reflection in the mirror, I saw a young adult with dark brown hair and green eyes. I was wearing a dark red jacket with a sleeveless shirt underneath. My pants were black sweatpants and they seemed to be ripped.

After I searched the room a bit, I decided to finally go to sleep. I hopped in bed and pulled the blankets over me and closed my eyes. As I closed my eyes, thoughts filled my head. Who am I? Why can’t any of us remember anything? How did we get here? Should we trust each other? Why do I feel like I’ve met these people before? These questions and thoughts filled my head as I drifted to sleep. I then thought that it would all make sense in the morning. I then started to drift off to sleep.
