It was like 2am in the morning and Dan could NOT sleep, someone had left the under bed lights on in the tour bus and they were driving Dan insane.
So like anyone would do he tried to turn them off while still in the comfort of the bunk, I mean all he had to do was reach under his bed and into the empty one below him and flip the switch to turn it off right?
He tiredly turns over and loosely waves his hand around in the bed below him, trying to find the switch which should be on the wall.
Little did he know that the switch was way too far away for him to get from his position right now.
Dan: "ugh....where is it...?" He says groggily, so tired from not being able to sleep, still trying to find the switch with only his hand.
He tilts his body a bit more off the edge to try and find the switch and right as he feels where it is his instincts of fear kick in.
His body slips off the edge of the bunk and he sees the 6 feet drop below him, his life flashes before his eyes in slow motion as he falls to the ground, his body turning so he fully lands right on his ass.
A loud thump is heard from everyone else who was trying to sleep, three others open their curtains all at once and look down to see what happened.
Dan is just curled up in a ball, rocking back and forth like in the cartoons, crying in pain from the fall.
Phil hears the thump and opens his curtain, seeing what happened.
After a bit of Dan just crying on the floor because his ass hurt he crawls back into his bed after turning off the lights.
Phil texts him confused about what happened.
Phil: "are you okay wtf" Phil texts to Dan, concerned for his well-being and his ass cause that fall sounded like it hurt.
Dan grabs his phone through the stinging pain of the fall and texts back.
Dan: "I felt like a whale falling from space onto concrete" He texts painfully.
Phil: "Did you hurt yourself" He texts back, still very concerned for Dan.
Dan: "yes but mainly shame" Dan replies, healing slowly from that earth shattering fall on his ass.
Phil: "rip" [I don't have a caption for that]
Eventually they both fall back asleep, Dan's ass still a bit in pain from the painfully fall.
