   Summary

   Will asks Mike to go with him to New York City since Mike is struggling emotionally and doesn't know what to do post high school. He gets a job as a barista while Will gets an internship at an art studio. Struggling with their traumatic pasts, futures, gay identities, and internalized homophobia, lots of angst ensues as they discover parts of themself and build a new relationship.

   “Move to New York with me.”

   “What?”

   “Come on, rent in New York is fucking expensive, and I know you have money saved up from working at The Squack, that would give you at least a month or two to find some sort of job, and… and…” Will scratches his neck, shifting his stance a bit nervously, “and honestly, I’d rather do it with you. Move to New York I mean.” He says the last part quickly, a slight blush crossing his face.

   I've missed writing fanfic and Byler gave me a reason to.
