Summary
In 1983, Hawkins buried a body they thought was Will Byers. When he was found alive a week later in a farmhouse cellar, the town didn't know how to handle him. He was a living contradiction to a funeral they already had and the world had moved on without him. Five years later, Will is still trying to figure out how to take up space in a world that already mourned him.
Now it’s 1988 and Will is almost an adult, living in the Wheelers' basement trying to navigate a world that treats him like he’s some sort of ghost or freak. Between the suffocating "Moral Panic" of a small town in the 80s and the trauma that makes his skin feel like a cage.
The only safe place left is Mike Wheeler.
