It was 5:58 in the morning when Sheldon first woke up. Goodness! I woke up early! He thought to himself as he rolled onto his side to get a better look at the man next to him. "I guess I'll just be stuck looking at Leonard." He sighed but there was a teasing edge in his voice.
"Sheldon.” Leonard groaned as he also rolled to look at the taller man properly.
“Yes?” Sheldon replied while he moved to sit up.
Leonard groaned again. “I’m tired, Sheldon!”
“Why? Is it because I woke you up last night so I could kiss you? Is it because you didn’t want to go back to sleep afterwards? Or is it because I woke you up yet again at 5:58—ooh look! It’s 6:00 now!” He exclaimed and tried to stand up. Leonard grabbed his hand as an attempt to stop him (it worked, surprisingly).
“Sheldon; please stay.” Leonard bagged on the verge of whining. This caused Sheldon to stop.
"What? Why--is something wrong?!" He panicked as he sat back down.
"N-no. I just want you to stay." The shorter one responded.
"Y-you do?" Sheldon asked breathlessly. Leonard's only response was an indistinguishable hum and a soft nod.
"Okay..." Sheldon hesitated before laying back down with Leonard.
Sheldon's roommate chuckled softly. "Thanks he mumbled."
"Yeah," Leonard's 'praise' made him smile. "It's technically not night anymore, so, good morning."
Leonard laughed again softly. "Yeah; good morning, Sheldon. Good morning."
