   Summary

   Dear gentle readers, I am back with another installment of the Rake and the Fae.

   This is my first Galinda POV for this story. I find Galinda a bit difficult to write, but there is a lot of yearning here which I enjoy.

   Elphaba was insistent that she would never marry, so sure was she that no man would ever be able to look past her skin. So she had pledged to be Galinda's lady-in-waiting forevermore. Though deeply saddened at her friend's inability to appreciate her true beauty, Galinda was unwilling to refuse this offer; the prospect of having Elphaba at her side lifelong was close enough to Galinda's true desire to offer comfort and compromise.
