Work Text:

Kaveh somehow had convinced Alhaitham to join him on late night walk to Port Ormos to pick up some things.

It was a clear night, the full moon lighting up the path ahead, the stars sparkling brightly in the vastness of the dark night sky. Countless constellations and stars were above them.

They mostly bickered while on the way to port ormos until Kaveh suddenly went silent and walked closer to the edge of the hill they were currently on and stood there looking up.

"This brings back memories, doesn't it? I remember how my dad always used to do these night walks with me or back then when we stayed up long to study or just look at the beautiful night sky."

There was a silence that settled for a brief moment.

"It does."

Both of them stood there, one looking up at the moon, the other looking towards his sun.

"I always felt peaceful looking up at the stars they seem so close yet so far away."

Alhaitham watched as carmine eyes shined under the moonlight, and golden hair flowed in the wind.

A lot of people were drawn to various different things for a similar reason: their beauty and Alhaitham wasn't an exception.

He was drawn to the way Kaveh talked and walked, how every subtle touch made his heart race, and every time he looked into those eyes, it made him long for more.

"If you think about it, the sky is an artwork of itself. Millions of starts and different constellations all exist in the vast universe, which is devoid of life yet so lively at the same time."

Of course, all of that wasn't was initially drew him towards Kaveh. It was the way he thought about the world and his differing perspective on life.

"You could even say the sky is like a mirror of our world. While there's no life out there here,

It's so full of life and different living beings. You could almost say the other side of the same coin."

It was moments like these where all his scholarly knowledge about language failed him and couldn't find the right words to say in any of the languages he spoke.

So, instead, he reached out his hand to brush away the strands of hair from Kaveh's face and looked directly into the eyes of the very person he held so dear to his heart.

Carefully, he cupped Kaveh's face, taking his time out of fear he might get burned again.

However, Kaveh leaned into his touch and let their forheads touch. It was such a simple action, yet it felt so intimate.

Words have failed him, so he took action and let his lips ghost over Kaveh's, letting their breaths be intermingled with each other.

Neither of them pulled away when they should have.

They're crossing a line that'll change their relationship forever, yet both didn't care about that fact, too distracted by the other person in front of them.

Finally, one of them gathered the courage to press their lips together.

It felt like fireworks exploding as their emotions ran wild as they kissed.

No words in any language could ever describe the longing and love they felt for each other.

There, they were standing kissing and holding each other tightly underneath the moonlight night sky.

As they pulled away from the kiss, they locked their gazes once again.

"I love you, Kaveh."

"I love you too, Alhaitham."
