Summary
When Shane Hollander earns a hockey scholarship to his dream school, the University of Michigan, the current #1 ranked team in the country. He leaves behind the warm comfort of California and his life with his dad. For a colder, harsher, Michigan with his mom.
The team welcomes him with open arms. Well everyone except Ilya Rozanov.
The only other newcomer, Ilya is a Russian hockey prodigy with a mean reputation.
He’s cold, unnerving, blunt, and incredibly secretive. On the ice, he’s relentless. Off it, he’s impossible to read. Competing for the top spot, Shane and Ilya become rivals before teammates. Their rivalry fueled by pride, ego and something close to obsession.
Shane can’t ignore the things that don’t quite add up with Ilya. The unnatural bright blue eyes that almost look fake, his pale skin, and his almost unnatural skills. Curiosity turns into fixation, and fixation into something far more complicated, more... dangerous.
