   Summary

   It was Ichigo's fault. He'd wanted to see. Isshin hadn't recognised him, either, in all his bouncy, puppy enthusiasm, not with the red haze of hunger shadowing everything. Ichigo still knows how his mother's blood tasted, as she fell over him and it gushed from her throat over his face and drenched his clothes. Knows the smell of fresh death from her, first and foremost.
