Death is cold and empty. This is something that Jin Guangshan had to accept, even though he spent a long time rejecting it. So why is this happening…?
"squeak"
He wakes up with a jolt, face in the dirt, and feeling very lopsided. Also, what was that quiet squeaking noise? Certainly not him…right?
"squeak! whine…"
Nope. That's definitely him. He tries to push himself upright, but he's only able to stand for a few seconds before falling to his…paws…?!
'What the fuck?!?!?! I- this can't- I'm too good for this to happen to me!!'
He's too busy panicking to notice the footsteps behind him.
"Gotcha! You better not eat Lan Zhan's rabbits!"
'…huh? Isn't that…um…A-Yu? A-Yu, what's happening?'
"Squeak! Ch-ch-ch?"
"You can't get away from me!"
And with that Mo Xuanyu(?) runs back towards someone who is definitely Lan Wangji.
"Lan Zhan! Lan Zhan! I caught the rabbit thief!"
"Mm."
'…wait…?! Why is A-Yu with the absolute bore that is Lan Wangji?'
"whine"
"He's trying to say sorry, Lan Zhan! What do we do with him?"
"…We should release him at the foot of the mountain."
'Wait! You can't feed me to whatever wild creature could be out there!'
The only thing that Jin Guangshan can think of doing to get their attention is bite. He bites Wei Wuxian hard enough to notice but not enough to break skin.
"Ow!"
Suddenly Jin Guangshan is grabbed by the back of his neck and is lifted away from Wei Wuxian quite aggressively.
"Don't worry, Lan Zhan. I'm okay, it just pinched. Wait…there's some strange energy attached to this little guy. I can't put my finger on what it is."
Lan Wangji narrows his eyes at the Jin Guangshan red panda as if studying him for any sign of evil.
'Stop right there! I don't want to be anywhere near you, you…bland Lan!'
Jin Guangshan attempts to scratch Lan Wangji, but he's too quick and Jin Guangshan is too slow.
"HIIISSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!"
Wei Wuxian is quick to separate the two, hoping that it will calm the odd red panda down.
"Woah there! We're not going to hurt you. There's no need to be so aggressive."
'I'd rather die than be here, but I refuse to die at the hands of Lan Wangji!'
As Wei Wuxian looks closer at him, he feels…oddly uncomfortable.
'I guess I'm stuck with A-Yu and stupid Lan Wangji… hopefully things don't get worse.'
