For once the sky was clear, no clouds in sight but it wasn't a good day. This day was when the whole server would get together in one place to vote for the finalist on the debate held by the Law. It was also the day when it all would change, nobody was expecting what happened next.
.
.
.
His heart raced as Lettuce threatened him, he thought the other would do it as soon as the debate was over, not in front of everybody. This was so humiliating, his wings puffed up as the lynx spoke loud enough for the other candidates to hear, maybe even some of the people heard how Lettuce was basically holding Parrot's friend hostage.
.

Parrot thought this was it, Lettuce had no chance of becoming king after this. He was wrong. Of course the guy was stopping the elections and practically naming himself king, this was turning into a fucking dictatorship.
The parrot’s body was frozen in place, in was he was overseeing all that was happening from so far away. He didn't know how but when he opened his eyes, when had he closed them? He found himself in his potion shop trying to find a way, something to help Theo and stop Lettuce.
He was exhausted, the whole journey and back to the great sea was draining, from lack of a better word. He couldn't believe he let this happen to Theo, there was nothing left to do but hand himself over, isn't it?
Tears blurred his vision and his chest tightened as terrible but possible outcomes appeared in his head. His head landed on his hands as he tried to keep calm, he couldnt let anything happen to the cockatiel, if something happened to him-
No, no he couldn't think like that. There was still something he could do. Surely.
The thoughts in his head smudged together, he had no idea what to do and the time Lettuce gave him to compose himself was running out.
Maybe he could ask Wemmbu? No, the demon had already done his part and Egg wouldn't agree with Parrot a second time.
Who else was there to ask?
That's when an idea sparked in his mind.

Meanwhile, Theo was being led through the prison corridors. The cockatiel’s hands were handcuffed to assure he wouldn't fight back or try to escape, they were a little too tight. His wings were clipped when he was first apprehended and bound afterwards, Parrot would be devastated, Theo thought.
Everytime Theo flew or used his wings, a smile would take over Parrot’s face. It was like he had the sun right there, the other had to smile more since he had such a pretty smile. He hoped he could see it again, there was a way to fix his wings but that would have involved him ripping off his primary feathers and it was really painful. Not to mention a bird hybrid can get addicted to the feeling of ripping off feathers and that would lead to a much bigger problem.
Suddenly he was thrown in a cell, he scoffed at the excessive force these Law guys were using, they assholes. They could treat a hostage a little better, no? There was nobody in the cell with him, nor near him, they had put him in solitary, it made sense. Shame there were still guards outside of his door, otherwise he could try to escape.
He settled against one of the walls, pressing his wings uncomfortably in their bindings. A heavy sight left his lips, he was in such a mess. He should have fought harder to not get himself caught, Parrot is surely crashing out right now, a soft chuckle escaped him.
Past memories flashed in his mind, he groaned. Not that much time had passed and he was already missing the other bird hybrid, the only other person who he let be part of his flock.
At first, he told himself he wouldn't get attached to the other but that was in the farlands, when Parrot showed up in spawn with nothing but his items, Theo couldn't help but feel the need to protect. They were already friends but they became a lot closer after only a few of their wacky adventures, and as much as he teased the other for his savior complex or need to help, Parrot was sure to be a natural leader. He had seen the other time and time again shine bright in the place of a leader when nobody else did, it was clear that Parrot had to be the king of the server but that wouldn't happen any time soon.
He wasn't the brightest but he knew that with him imprisoned, the Law could threaten Parrot to do anything they wanted and the others would do it. For Theo’s sake.
That was just how Parrot was, the cockatiel wondered if the other was unhurt. The other had always had a habit for getting himself into trouble, that's how they got here didn't they?
Theo was worried for Parrot and didn't know how to communicate . He didn't know what to do every time the other was in a death situation and he couldn't handle seeing his best friend like that.
In the end he chose to distance himself, telling Parrot to call for him whenever he needed help with something. It was not a deliberate decision on his part, and he was sure as heck he was paying for it now. As soon as he got out of here he was crushing the colorful parrot in a tight hug, Theo’s arms came to wrap around himself, when he was down Parrot was always the one that was there, he hoped the other wouldn't do anything stupid but it was a stupid hope.
He knew Parrot and he knew the other had already devised a plan to get him out of here and win against Lettuce.
