Chapter Text
All angels are naturally genderless. They use whatever pronouns they see fit.
All angels have the ability to make their wings visible at will, but their wings are easy to injure this way, what with them being physical and all. So usually angels just do the whole shadow projection thing.
Even though angels are usually able to hide their emotions well when in a vessel, their wings always act according to how they truly feel. For example, they flare when an angel is angry or droop when they're sad.
Typically Cherubim have four wings, Seraphim have six and any other angels have two (including the Archangels). However, any angel can also have extra wings on their head. It is not known what specifically causes the head wings to form, since there's a very random chance of it happening. If an angel does end up with head wings, they have the same amount as their principality usually does (four for Cherubim, six for Seraphim and two for any other angels). Also, despite only having two, Archangels have the biggest wings out of all of the principalities.
Angel wings, regardless if visible or not, naturally give off warmth. Also, even when the wings aren't visible, any object still acts like as if they were visible. For example, they can still knock things over with them (which pretty much ends up looking like whatever their wings hit just fell over randomly).
All angels are partially some kind of bird. They can make the sounds of the specific bird and their wings are also able to molt.
All angels have a long tail that has 3 pairs of wings in total, one pair at the start, one pair in the middle and one pair on the tip. The colour of the tail also varies depending on the specific angel and what bird they partially are.
Just like their wings, angels can make their tail visible at will.
All angels have halos, which can be made visible at will as well. Each angel has their own special halo, no halo looks the same, but they do have the same functions. They naturally float, glow (angels can use them as night-lights if they really wanted) and when an angel uses their powers the halo spins rapidly. But, unlike an angel's wings, their halo can naturally phase through any object, regardless if visible or not. Angels do have the ability to make objects unable to pass through their halo, but it's rare to see them actually use this ability, since the halo often bumps into things (usually doorways), which gets annoying very quickly.
The wings and halo of an angel are Grace powered, meaning that if an angel loses their Grace (for example when Cas became temporarily human) they also lose their wings and halo. However, If the angel manages to get their Grace back, their wings and halo come back as well, but there's always some kind of damage (in Cas' case, the middle pair of his back wings).
An angel's true form, regardless of principality, looks like a biblically accurate angel (yes, I know what Zachariah said about his true form, but I hate him so I don't care). However, the size and amount of wings varies depending on the principality.
An angel's true voice sounds like a choir. However, it's extremely loud to humans, which ends up creating the ringing noise. To other angels it just sounds like a human's voice and is not loud at all. Also, when angels use their true voice they speak in Enochian.
Angels don't actually teleport, they fly, which is why you can hear the whoosh wing flap noise thing when they appear. Basically, they fly so fast that it looks like they teleported. If you're lucky enough when you're out at night looking up at the sky, you can see what looks like a shooting star, but is actually an angel. The shooting star phenomenon isn't an intentional thing, it's purely a side effect of angels using their Grace to transport, which materializes in the form of this. The phenomenon is also the colour of Grace.
