Summary
Detective Arthur Kirkland hates the sun, hates Los Angeles, and definitely hates being sent across the pond to investigate a grotesque murder case involving a flayed corpse. To make matters worse, the dossier promised a rugged officer named Allen, but Arthur's actual partner is completely different: Alfred F. Jones, an LAPD officer who looks like a golden retriever and drives a car that smells like a junkyard.
