   Summary

   It’s Will’s first summer in a while where there isn’t something spooky happening, where he can just be a kid and be free. He just wants to spend the time with his Party. The problem? They all have girlfriends. And Will is decidedly not into girls. It seems he’s condemned to a summer of third wheeling and watching his friends make poor relationship decisions.
   Enter Beverly Marsh. She’s the first person outside of the party that doesn’t make him feel like a freak. She also has a cute best friend.

   Beverly is NOT happy about being sent with her aunt for the summer to Hawkins. It’s small, dusty, and there’s this aura about the place. Like something bad is lurking in the woods. She doesn’t even have friends here.
   Enter Will Byers. He’s nice and though he’s not one of her losers, he seems the best option for a friend she could find in this town. Maybe summer won't be so bad after all.
