Chapter Text
Stumbling into the apartment Peter put a hand on his head being quite dizzy though he pushed the feeling back as his feet started to get a bit tangled making him fall to the side and hit the wall where he leaned against it in pain.
“Peter? Is that you?” His Aunt May called.
“Yeah..” Peter answered as clear as he could so he wouldn’t worry her.
“Alright, go wash up.” She ordered. “Dinner will be ready soon.”
“Okay.” Peter responded, taking in a shaky breath before pushing away from the wall and stumbling down the small entry hall.
Going to the bathroom he went in and closed the door where he turned around and leaned against it for a moment to catch his breath. He had just come back from school and he was very worn out after hiding what had happened during science study and he was rather uncertain about it so he told no one even his best friends Ned and MJ.
The only problem about it was he was getting very dizzy and felt as if to throw up but he held that back as he staggered to the sink where he looked in the mirror only to find he looked considerably pale.
Unsure he glanced down at his left hand only to find two tiny holes where that little menace had gotten him before he smashed it. The spot was red and seemed to be swelling a bit which was slightly worrying but he didn’t know what to do about it.
Suddenly more pain shot through his body making him wince and clench his hands into fists which only caused more pain as he felt the poison moving under his skin spreading through his body.
Now that he was in this immense pain he realized that spider did look a bit strange and he briefly wondered if it was radioactive but he put it off knowing that was impossible though maybe he could ask Mr. Stark about it then again he was very busy and Peter probably shouldn’t bug him since it was around dinner time.
Turning on the water Peter decided to just get ready for dinner and hurry it up so he could go to bed and maybe sleep the effects off. He honestly would have gone to see a doctor or something but he really didn’t want to worry Aunt May especially right now when things were already rough for them financially so he would stay silent and hope things would be alright.
Without another thought he washed his hands and face before drying. He then put the towel away and turned to leave the room only to find his vision was suddenly blurry and he was feeling strangely even more lightheaded.
Now really getting worried Peter slowly reached into his jeans pocket where he fumbled for his phone, deciding to take the chance. Looking down he clumsily unlocked the phone and went to messenger where he did his best to locate the right chat hoping he would get a response but he knew it was inevitable since the man was rather.. protective of him.
Forcing himself to focus he quickly typed one word as his knees suddenly buckled making him fall to the floor and drop his phone as he landed off to the side. Groaning in pain he opened his eyes and looked over to see his phone lying face up on the floor just an inch or two away from his hand.
“H-help..” Peter whispered, reaching over and weakly pushing the send button before he passed out from the overwhelming pain.
———
“Peter? Peter, are you okay?” May asked, knocking on the door.
Peter moaned slightly as he shifted a bit before opening his eyes a crack. Unsure what happened he slowly pushed himself up to his hands and knees only to paused finding something to be off and he noticed the bite on his hand was pretty much faded now for some reason.
Glancing around he briefly wondered if he was dead but he knew he was fine at least.. he hoped. Now curious he got up and stumbled to the sink again where he looked in the mirror only to freeze seeing he now had two fangs which caught him off guard and he immediately stepped back.
“Peter?” May knocked again.
Peter stared at himself for a long minute but when the knock came again his pupils suddenly became slits as he bared his teeth being on survival mode.
Turning to the door he silently walked over to it and opened the door to stare at May who took a breath in relief.
“There you are.” She smiled. “Are you alright?”
Peter glared at her for a minute before suddenly hissing making her step back in uncertainty, fear seeping into her eyes.
“Peter..?” May queried. “What’s wrong?”
Remaining silent Peter continued staring as she backed away though not wanting her to escape he suddenly shot out his right hand and put his ring finger and middle finger to his palm making some sort of web shoot out and hit May where it pinned her against the opposite wall.
“Peter what are you doing?!” May exclaimed, watching as Peter suddenly lunged and bit her neck. “Peter!!!” She screamed in surprise and pain as her nephew injected her with poison that spread quickly to the rest of her body.
Slowly gaining control of himself Peter pulled his fangs out and stepped back only to freeze seeing his Aunt May slowly going limp.
“May? May I-I’m sorry!” Peter apologized, putting a hand on her cheek as she shedded some tears.
“P-Pete..” she whispered, slowly falling limp in the web as she took her last shuttering breath.
“May? Aunt May?” Peter called, tears blurring his vision as he began trembling. “No! May!!”
Tears slipping down his cheeks Peter slowly slumped to the floor as he began to cry silently to himself knowing he had just killed his own Aunt who had raised and supported him for practically his whole life, she had been like a mother to him but now she was gone because he poisoned her.
Soon a knock sounded at the front door making Peter nearly jump out of his skin as he looked around in sudden terror for he didn’t want to kill anyone else. With that in mind he quickly jumped to his feet and scurried up the wall onto the ceiling which shocked him but he found he was strangely quarter feral now which was confusing but he put it off as he watched for the intruder who came into the apartment.
Peter couldn’t actively see whoever it was but his senses were oddly heightened and he sensed the danger was near and closing in on his location which made his eyes shift again, ready to pounce.
Watching the hall closely Peter soon noticed a man walking towards his location, this guy had dark hair and wore a fancy business suit Peter recognized.
“Kid?” The guy called.
Not liking this Peter backed away from the approaching man though his new side suddenly took control and he went into survival mode as he lunged at the man who looked up at him in the last minute giving him just enough time to react as they both fell to the ground where Peter pinned him down only to have the man grab his throat keeping him from biting him.
Irritated Peter tried to get free as he hissed and struggled having trouble fighting against his better judgment due to the new instincts that told him no one was to be trusted and he had to do what was necessary to protect himself from threats.
“What has gotten into you kid?” The man demanded, trying to keep Peter at bay though soon he just shoved the kid back making Peter tumble across the floor where he hit his head on the floor.
The blow effectively snapping him out of it Peter quickly sat up and looked around in sudden terror for he knew exactly what happened making him immediately scramble away from the man who stood up before looking at him.
“Mr. Stark..” Peter whimpered, looking up at his mentor who seemed rather confused as to what was going on.
“Kid, what did you do?” Tony questioned before he noticed May hanging on the wall caught in a strange web he didn’t recognize and she seemed to be dead.
“I-I got bit..” Peter answered quietly, a bit dazed with this whole situation. “B-by a poisonous spider.”
“Poison?!” Tony looked at him sharply as he began to approach the young teen. “Are you okay? Do you need medical attention?”
“No.. it’s too late.” Peter admitted, looking down at his hands which were shaking a bit though as he was staring he suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder making him shriek in terror as he scrambled away. “Don’t touch me! I’m dangerous!!”
Tony paused and stared at Peter for a minute as he observed the situation but he noticed Peter now had small fangs that were a bit bloody and he realized the kid had killed his Aunt which was a shock and he wasn’t sure what kind of spider would be able to change the innocent science loving kid who he had grown to like.
“Not so dangerous you need to be isolated.” Tony stated. “Now let me help you, kid.”
Peter thought about that for a long minute but he shook his head not wanting to hurt anyone else. “N-no.. I don’t want to kill anyone more..”
“Peter.” Tony warned, knowing the kid needed help and he wasn’t taking no for an answer. “I’m not asking.”
With that Tony stepped closer and reached to grab the kid but Peter quickly dodged him with a strange alertness that kicked in from defense.
Shifting back survival Peter got into a crouched position and tried shooting another web but Tony avoided it only to get pounced. Quickly biting down on Tony’s arm Peter tried to cause pain as he became a tad savage but instead of hitting flesh his teeth came to an iron realization, his mentor had come prepared.
Falling a tad pale Peter glanced up to see Tony was now completely covered in iron armor which he couldn’t break through making him a bit defenseless at the moment as the man grabbed his arm before getting up.
“Let go!” Peter demanded, struggling to get free only to have Tony hold tighter.
“No, you are going to get the medical attention you need whether you like it or not.” Tony told him firmly. “We will settle everything else later but you are coming back with me.”
“N-no!” Peter cried, not wanting to leave Aunt May alone even though she was already dead and he knew it.
“Let’s go kid.” Tony said, picking Peter up into his arms like a baby before turning and marching away where he left the apartment.
Trying to fight him Peter struggled a bit and started biting the iron suit repeatedly but he knew he couldn’t escape no matter how dangerous he was he could never escape Tony’s protectiveness of him.
The end.
