    Summary

As the lone heir to the Ithacan throne, Telemachus knew marriage was an inevitability in his future. He never put much thought into it; whenever it happened, he would fulfill his duty to his kingdom, and he would do it without complaint. It was a chore that had to be done, and he was okay with that. But when Odysseus brings up the idea of creating ties with Pylos by arranging a marriage to one of Nestor's daughters, Telemachus just couldn't get his mind off of the youngest Prince of Pylos instead. It wasn't like he was marrying for love - so why not marry his best friend? Telemachus thought he had considered every angle by the time the proposal was presented to Nestor and Peisistratus.
The only thing he didn't consider was actually falling in love.
