BREAKING: Has the rivalry really been put to rest?
In tonight’s Ottawa vs. Montreal game, where Ottawa won 5-2, the real headline is whatever happened in that fight. You know the one. We all know Ilya Rozanov isn’t one to shy away from getting his hands dirty, but we’ve rarely seen him go as hard as he did tonight when fighting the Voyageur’s Gilbert Comeau (3 goals and 5 assists in 46 games).
Even Canada’s golden boy, Shane Hollander, got involved. While Comeau was down on the ice, Hollander moved in to pull Rozanov away. Rozanov tried to swing for him until - it appears - he saw who was holding onto him. When he realised it was his former rival and current charity co-founder, he dropped his fist and smiled instead, letting Hollander move them both away from the drama.
Ladies and gentleman, it looks like their decade-long heated rivalry really is over.

In what appears to be a leaked FanMail video sent by Montreal Voyageurs’s player Hayden Pike, MLH stars Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov are seen kissing passionately in the background.
As infamous, long-standing rivals, and recent co-founders of the Irina Foundation and Game Changer’s Hockey Camp, it is nothing less than unbelievable that these two players appear to be intimately involved. While the MLH is notoriously conservative, Scott Hunter and Troy Barrett - as well as retired players Ryan Price and Eric Bennett - have come out in recent years.
Is this just some kind of prank? Or has AI become completely indistinguishable from reality?
Or, could this be why Rozanov fought Montreal’s Gilbert Comeau for allegedly using a homophobic slur during a game just a few short months ago?
