Ever since Jax had pressed the red button everyone had been avoiding him or treating him like an explosive. Jax has no clue how long it has been since there is no way to tell time here and Caine has been lacking on adventures lately, making the days blur together, but no matter how much time passed everyone was weird. Gangle and Zooble, who insist on going everywhere together, now leave to go to Zooble’s room whenever he sees them. Even Kinger can tell something isn’t right because unless Bubble is there he makes an excuse to leave, muttering something about Queenie needing more darkness. Ragatha isn’t any better, she chooses her words and actions very carefully, making sure not to provoke Jax, strange considering how annoying she had been to Jax beforehand. Only Pomni has been normal
