Summary
In the lands of Teyvat, night creatures roam freely and hunt humans for food and entertainment, especially in the lands of Fontaine. The vampire Focalors seeks to eliminate all of humanity for good, an act of heartbroken retribution for the brutal murder of her sister Furina, facilitated by The Church.
Hoping to stop the potential end of humanity, three unlikely allies band together to destroy the horrible demons of the night and bring both Focalors and the rot of humanity to justice. Henry Wriothesley, a monster hunter and the very last of his family line, is joined by Navia Caspar a gifted mage and nomadic Speaker, and the most unlikely of allies Neuvillette, a vampire and the brother to the late Furina and Focalors. Through trial and tribulation the disparate group find success in strange places and learn they have more to share with one another than barbed remarks and cheap insults.
As long buried feelings surface in late night conversations, Wriothesley must confront exactly what it means to wear the crest of his forefather's and whether or not personal betrayals matter in the face of unprecedented companionship.
