Summary
Freedom is a concept many philosophers have discussed for centuries, as it is tied to the existentialist man and the complex concept of being. But what if that which drives us insane isn't the several but finite amount of physical and cultural limits our freedom has, but the infinite possibilities it possesses by acknowledging our existence as total freedom, accepting the responsibility of our own actions for each and every one of those choices. No nature, no essence, no faith, just you alone.
For our cast members, freedom is an alien concept, living in literal hell in the form of a circus, deprived of their natural freedom by stripping them of their "existence" slowly. Abstraction in the circus means that objectifying of your being, and living means you have yet to go through that. Is there really any hope in this circus?
