Summary
He followed the footsteps quietly, putting all his training to good use. What he found at the end of the trail shook him to his core.
There was only one person, a man, small and petite in form. He was hunched over, facing away from Minho, his arms wrapped around his skinny legs, holding them close to his chest. His frame shook with sobs that wracked through his body violently, his cries heartbreaking, even to someone as seasoned and desensitized as a vampire hunter. He needed to attend to the man before him before the beast returned. Vampires didn't cry or show emotion, after all.
“Lad, are you wounded?” Minho murmured, keeping his voice calm so as not to startle him. He had just reached his hand out to touch the man's shoulder when a piercing scream ripped from him.
Minho jumped backwards just in time to avoid a bloody, clawed hand swiping at him. The man, now facing him, looked at Minho with piercing crimson eyes. He looked terrified, covered in blood and tears, still streaming down his face.
“G-get away from me!” The man yelled, his voice breaking on a sob. “I'll hurt you!”
