    Summary

Fire rained upon Illium. Troy was sacked, destroyed by its own hubris and self-righteousness. And in the palace of Troy’s very own Prince Hector lay his son, a foe unlike anyone had seen before.

    And Odysseus killed him.

It hurt. More than anything he had known before. To kill someone who was just an infant, just a boy.
But it was for Penelope. Telemachus. For his wife and son, whom he would burn the world.

    Odysseus was just a man.

And Astyanax was just an infant.

But what if Odysseus didn’t drop him? What if he spared Astyanax instead?

What if he raised him as his own?

What if, rather than twenty years of trials and tribulations, sacrificing every friend he long knew and becoming a monster . . . Odysseus became a father?

Must a ripple become a tidal wave? Must a comet become a meteor?

Must a man become a monster?

    ---------------------------------------------------

Basically EPIC but Odysseus raises Astyanax as his own. Don't take this seriously.
