Summary

In a world where nothing and nobody lives for long, Mingi can't die, and Jongho can't live with his regrets. They instantly click. Perhaps it's because they're both trying to run from something. But once the relationship forces them both to dig deeper, not everything they find is so easy to deal with. It's tough to stay alive in the wasteland, but harder still to find a reason to try.

"I'm Choi Jongho."
"Song Mingi," he said, but it didn't mean much. It meant sunlight behind a woman's head, and a shift to hostility in people's eyes as they realized he was a freak, because he didn't usually look like one. It meant occasionally waking up in his own grave, breathing dying air, clawing through gravel.
Jongho said, "This is a rescue mission. You kidnapped someone I know from a Saero City convoy. I'm not really someone who wears a City badge and runs around in the wasteland, normally, but…" He shrugged. "It paid well."
"Me? I kidnapped someone?" Mingi said. This didn't sound like him at all.
