for the past few days they have been occupied my brain and i really cannot think about anything else. its truly eating me from the inside out. i have a numerous amount of theories and thoughts about those 2.
imma explain their dynamic first because its the most complicated thing about them. on the one hand you have 4c; a slime that is also some kind of refugee that used to live in a swamp called “Moonlit Swamp”, that with the help of a blue knight named Nom he was able to escape. i will not go in detail for that because its a story for another day. and on the other hand you have The literal GOD OF ROGUES(lets call him GoR), who doesnt have any official lore, but we do know that he may not be the only one since him being the god of rogues suggests that he is not the only one and other gods exist as well.
there is a very obvious power imbalance and i think thats the most interesting part. 4c is so helpless and weak in front of GoR, GoR could literally do whatever he wants with him, and he is gonna take his soul tonight. i have a lot of theories about what the soul thing could suggest and lemme tell you.
1. my first theory is him being “soulless” like a mob/NPC yk?? basically not speaking unless spoken to, having no opinions and doing what others tell him to do. if that were to happen i would be really sad, bc soulless is as good as dead (((
2. second theory is 4c being GoR’s slave. now think about it,, 4c not being able to physically resist GoR’s will, like all of his free will is stranded from him, imagine 4c having to pray to ask GoR if he can do something as simple as to drink water or eat carrots. ykkk and what if GoR says no? then no matter how thirsty or hungry he is, he cant disobey GoR’s will and he will wont be able to drink water or eat carrots.
like i want you to imagine this scenario:

GoR tells 4C that in oder to be a right mortal/believer he has to find a place for worship. 4c had the idea that making a church/temple for GoR would be a perfect place of worship. He goes to one of the mountains surrounding the blue Kingdom, places a chest on where he wants the church to be and goes to gather the resources needed for the build.
When he gathers all the resources needed he puts the in the chest. On top of the chest he puts a paper and starts sketching a design for the church. He must make it look nice or else God might not like it. It must be special and built specifically for him, something that when you look at it, it tells you it’s an important build, worth thousands of lives and more. 4C ends up with a upside down cone/ tower like design that’s very tall as well, signifying the rogue’s ability to climb. 4c is satisfied with the design and he gets to work.
As 4c is working on the foundations of the tower, he notices from the corner of his eye Mae approaching. 4C wonders what will she say.. The GoR told him to follow no other ruler than him. What if she asks him to do anything? She does hold some power over him due to her being Queen now.. In that scenario, what will he do? He hasn’t asked God if he is okey with this..
— “Hey 4C!! what are you building? Don’t you think we have enough houses?”
— “Oh hi Mae, I didn’t see you there,, No this is not just a house, unless you consider the house of God a house like the others.”
— “House of God? 4C i don’t think-“
— “No! I have to do this, build this… It’s the God’s will. He deserves a place of worship. This is going to be the best build you have ever seen!”
— “4C, I will not stand in your way of building anything and you know that,, I-“
— “Well Good then.”
— “4C, I don't want you to feel attacked.. but im getting worried..”
— “Why!? why are you getting worried!? and especially now? The deed has been done. You can’t make me do anything!”
Mae doesn’t know what to reply to that. She knows he’s right.

that's one scenario and how i imagine it would go. like i imagine the GoR not straight up telling 4c what to do but telling him riddles and shi and 4c having to figure things out by himself. GoR find this very entertaining and love watching him struggle (bro has too much free time:sob:) like think of this other scenario:

—"4C... You know that... as your God, and especially now that I have your soul, you must always obey to my will..."
—"Yes. My God, what are you trying to say?"
—"I -as you have probably guessed- do not have any power over individuals that are not rogues, because of that I'd like for you to do something."
—"Of course, what is it you want?"
—"Oh nothing specific! Really, you know, I know you don't have the best relationship with your former monarch, Eloise, and I know the vengeance is burning within you.."
—"What are you suggesting...?"
—"Oh, that's for you to figure out!"
Those were the last words 4C heard before being sent back from The End. He had an idea of what the God wanted him to do, but he could never be sure. It had to do something with Eloise, that was certain.
