   Summary

   He’s getting too soft. It was gradual, the usual jabs coming his way about him mellowing out whenever his wife was around, the usual jesting between friends and family. It took a while for him to notice truly what was being said, being implied, being thrown his way. He didn’t want to tell his beloved wife of his woes while on a picnic outing to make up for lost time, but no matter how he tried to mask it, she could see straight through him.
