   Summary

   Ray’s head lolls onto Pete’s shoulder, limp and pale but still breathing, eyelids still fluttering. And Pete’s tired, worn down from days of walking but he’s still strong and steady enough to take Ray in his arms and carry him like a bride on her wedding night. 

   “Your prize, Mr. McVries.” The Major declares. “Mount him on your wall, take him to the hospital, piss on his corpse, it doesn’t matter. He’s all yours now.”
