Worsties in a Cell Together

Summary:

AU. Double drabble. Shen Wenlang and Hua Yong are in jail. They argue about who should be called to bail them out. Complete.

Work Text:

“It’s the middle of the night,” Shen Wenlang says. “I’m not calling Gao Tu.”

“Yes, it’s getting late. I need to get back to Mister Sheng soon,” Hua Yong says.

“Then, you call him.”

“He wouldn’t be happy. His partner is supposed to a respectable, law-abiding citizen.”

“As much as I’d rather not give what that bastard wants any credence: Then, why don’t you try actually being that? It’d save me from-” Shen Wenlang gestures around the cell.

“This wasn’t fully my fault.”

“Yes, it was. And I’m not waking up my secretary in the middle of the night to come bail me out, never mind you.”

“If Mister Sheng comes, he’ll have a worse reaction towards you than Gao Tu would.”

“That’s if he comes,” Shen Wenlang responds.

“Hm. Gao Tu won’t let you give him a raise. If he has to go so far outside his regular duties, he won’t be able to argue against you rewarding him for faithfully doing so.”

Sighing, Shen Wenlang rubs his temples. Then, he goes to get the attention of a nearby masked beta guard. “Excuse me, I’m entitled to a phone call. I’d like to make it now, please. Thank you.”
