Someone left Hayden Pike in charge of the music for Shane Hollander's Tribute his first time back in Montreal.
It goes about as well as you can expect.
Notes:
Character development!!! I actually know what Bood's accent is now! (I think??) And I have no idea how to replicate it! LMAO (there is one line in this fic and I went "it is unfortunate that all the YouTube videos about Trini accent pronunciation are using common phrases about grocery shopping and such instead of "Jesus, Hollander." in a pitying way smh. I need applicable things, yk?")
This fic, not only do we get characters with poorly done Quebecois accents, we get actual French! It may surprise you, but I am not French or Quebecois (I know, no one saw it coming.) So uh... have fun with me trying to replicate the pronunciation that I got out of Google Fucking Translate (I know every person who knows French and probably those who don't just cringed at the idea. It was this or me trying to pronounce it on my own and trust me that would be worse.)

Somehow, trying to say "huh" in a deep counterfeit Russian voice might have been the hardest part of all of this.
the French, in case it was indecipherable (and translations..... via google translate so. grain of salt.):
“Good Luck in Ottawa… but if you wanna holla at us… on est faibles 😏” (which I've been lead to believe means "we are weak")
and "J'ai des principes. Et c'est non. Pas une putain de chance." (which, according to the very very reliable, probably means "I have principles. And that's a no. Not a fucking chance.")Hopefully the singing isn't too pitchy. I don't sing a lot of Bruno Mars/things of this style (tho this song really is a vibe) but if anyone knows of a fic with Laufey, Ethel Cain or Chappell Roan lyrics, I am on it, please tell me, I need that in my life.
