Summary
The kingdom demands that Taehyun, a powerful forest witch, marry Yeonjun, the crown prince, to secure magical protection for the realm. Taehyun accepts, but only if Yeonjun agrees to live in the forest with him for a year first.
Yeonjun assumes it's humiliation. Instead, Taehyun spends the year showing them hidden parts of the world: living trees, old spirits, forgotten ruins.
Gradually Yeonjun realizes Taehyun doesn't hate humans, he's protecting the forest from the kingdom's expansion. At the end of the year, Yeonjun realizes he must choose. He must choose between duty to the crown... or siding with the witch he's fallen for.
