It's Jonny's first year at Abingdon, and Colin keeps forcing him to hang out with his older friends. It's not that Jonny doesn't like Colin's friends, he does--especially a certain someone--he's just afraid to embarrass himself in front of Colin's friends. Meanwhile Colin is developing feelings for Ed. Thom is busy trying to play the supportive role to the only friend who really understands him, while he hides his true feelings for Colin.
Basically, Colin's falling hard for Ed, Thom is secretly in love with Colin, and Jonny--even though he'd never admit it--has feelings for Thom.
