Ren: Oh have I told you guys how False looked the other night when we went out for dinner? She looked beautiful! (laughs) Not that she doesn't always look nice, but she looked especially beautiful yesterday with those amazing earrings that I gave her last year!
(pauses to drink water)
Ren: And you know when we all decided to go to an arcade before going to bed? She was so sweet at helping win a stuffed animal (sounding embarrassed) I mean I'm sure she could have won it without using so many tokens as I did but well, that's the great Falsesymmetry for you, everyone.
(Cleo can be heard laughing and mumbling something on the background that makes Ren laugh too)

Kelly changed apps and opened up twitch once again, False was currently playing a team game in the charity event, and it was crazy to see that in the first place she was still wearing the so-called amethyst earrings that Ren said look great on her, which they did, but it wasn't that much to be talked about as Ren had.
She was currently teaming up with Gem on Hermit Activities, but that wasn't what Kelly was focused on to be honest, for Ren who was not playing this game, was helping False to do the tasks all while Gem stayed on the sidelines and gave them both a knowing look, as well as giving the cameras a ‘have a lot of this guys’ look.
It was crazy how much both Ren and False had been so in the nose in the past days about their whole weird situationship considering a week or so back they still acted as if the possibility of being more than friends was crazy. Not that Kelly or anyone who truthed (was it really doing so when the two of them were so obviously in love?) was complaining, it was just rather odd.
Even then… It was kind of nice to see them finally be more open with one another even if they are… Currently managing to burn water because Ren keeps on trying to distract False… Goddamn good thing the goal is not to see who cooks the best because then they will definitely lose.
And like Ren does know how to cook, which makes this even worse, because everyone knows that, he has said so himself before; but of course he has to try to make False laugh every other second and try to as well help even when he is not supposed to be allowed to help.
(They end up presenting a too hard spaghetti with burnt chicken, and managing to fail some of the other tasks even worse. Skizz and Impulse still give them a six but only because of Ren helping, honestly Kelly is not even mad about it, even if she knows that False and Gem by themselves would have done way better).
Martyn stared in confusion at the missed call, Ren had called him at his personal number two minutes ago and had left a voice message… He and Ren had literally just seen each other like a couple of days ago, what one Earth could he want at this time of day? And while he would be calling Martyn when he knew he was taking his plane back home today?
Well there was one way to answer his question he guesses.
So, he reproduced the voice mail and Ren's voice came in after a second: “Hey False,” he says, sounding rather sleepy, and definitely not having meant to call Martyn. “I know you are probably asleep but I just wanted to hear your voice one last time before I went to bed. I just- I really will miss being next to you, baby, so little time I could spend with you in the last weeks, and like even if we share a room it was… It was not enough-”
Martyn stared at his phone, Ren kept on talking saying just how great it had been to spend the last couple of weeks with False, how he was gonna miss her so much while being so alone at his house…
And well… That definitely hadn't been what Martyn had expected to hear when he saw that Ren had called.
He took one look up at the multiple clocks on the walls before he could confirm if it was too late in England, seeing it was like three in the morning all the way over there he decided to merely answer with a text through discord so he wouldn't wake up Ren in case he had gone to bed.

Yeah that… That was something, though Martyn had been sure Ren had called False baby like a couple of times on the voicemail and that he had sounded uhm, rather sad at having to be apart from her…
Hmm… Well, it was interesting to know at least more first hand how bad Ren's crush was over False, like jeez, and Martyn thought he had seen Ren be a sap, but this voice message definitely took the icing. Now he definitely had something to distract himself over the next hours of flight, fantastic.

And allegedly, Ren left him a two minutes long voicemail all because he was going through TSA when Ren called
The voicemail in both of their words goes something like: “Hey False, I love you and I miss you so much. You are the best and I want to be with you all the time even if it's not possible, I wish you could be next to me so I could cuddle and be so warm next to you, please message me back”

Finn took another look up around the bus before he tried his best to act normal. False and Ren were sitting a couple of seats away from him and he was being so normal about it and definitely not trying to eavesdrop at all.
Okay maybe he was… Just a little, but was he to fault? He was a vivid fan of False and while he wouldn't say he was like the people who shipped Ren and her he definitely knew about it and was just a bit too noisy to not try to see for himself if maybe they could be dating.
“Oh my god, shut up,” False laughed. “Just try it you will like it”
“It has balls though,” Ren complained and when Finn took another cautious look up he saw that they were talking about some bubble tea. “I'm I supposed to shallow those?”
“Yeah, that's literally the whole point of the drink”
False was smirking at Ren as if she was having fun at seeing him struggle to try the bubble tea for the first time, it was kind of cute and did remind Finn of his own relationship and how he sometimes acted like False was… With how fond she looked even while doing such a small thing with him
Hmm… Maybe those Falseren people were onto something…
“Ew!” Ren said just a bit too loud while False was laughing with her belly about it. “That tastes bad, so bad”
The bus stopped and Finn knew he had to get off, but he took as much of a sneaky photo as he could of the two before he went off and messaged his friend Kelley who he knew was a big Falseren fan, surely she would have a field day at seeing the image.

Gonna be so cautious from now on
When Joel went out to go shopping for more baby diapers he didn't think he would find either False or Ren in the store and even less that he would see them be all weird lovely couply as everyone said they acted. Like, he knew they were like something more than friends but not dating, but well, seeing them both go hand in hand while Ren wore a jumper that Joel swears he knows False owns, well, is basically enough confirmation that they are more than just platonic.
And Joel thinks of ignoring them because one he has to go back to his lovely wife and baby to deliver the thing he came in to buy, but on the other hand he has heard from Gem and Scar how everyone has bets going as if the both of them are dating or not.
So he does the logical thing and approaches them, they instantly stop holding hands as he does, and when he goes to say hi, Ren instantly excuses himself… Which is rather strange, but well, Ren is a weird guy.
And well False did stay and is trying to be nice and ask about what Joel is doing at a grocery store so far from his house so late, he tries his best to explain the odyssey that it had been to try to find the diapers and how this was his last resort.
And then before False can also excuse herself with the fact she seems to actually be shopping for a lot more than just Joel, he asks, maybe just a bit too intrusive.
“So, uhm, you and Ren, eh? I didn't know you liked him like that”
And False laughs, and though she looks slightly embarrassed she says: “What? No, we are not anything, I don't- I don't even like him like that, we are just friends, he is just staying in my house because tomorrow he will have the meeting to buy his new house”
“He is wearing your jumper though,” Maybe Joel shouldn't have approached them, but this could make him win money from Jim, Gem, Scar and all of the others. “I don't think that's just staying with you for the night”
False seems serene even as she says: “He didn't bring any spare clothes more than the ones he is using tomorrow, you know how he is”
Hmm. Joel doesn't believe her but he thinks that is enough intel that he can use in his advantage, so he excuses himself, tells her goodbye and to have a great night as well as to say bye to Ren even though he ran away.
As soon as he is alone he gets out his phone and messages Lizzie.

False wasn't sure what she expected to see when she came by to Ren's house, the guy had just moved in like two days ago and he had said everything was a mess, but he had also said he wanted to invite her over for some food… Was this… Was this what he had talked about trying to show False how he wanted them to try even after all the misunderstandings that had made it so they wouldn't?
If it was well False thought she was on board with it even if some of the thought of actually changing their relationship from friendship to more scared her. But if he had set his mind to finally do something about it maybe then she could also… Set her mind into actually being open to be something more.
She put on the earring Ren had gifted her last year, she put on a scarf and some gloves because of how chill it had been lately even if autumn was just starting and even though she was just gonna walk some streets over to Ren's house.
As she did she couldn't help but reminisce as to how they got here, about how a small misunderstanding years ago meant that Ren thought they couldn't be together.
He had only made a comment about it as they were finally sitting down on the plane to America for the charity stream, he had been blushing so much since that old lady had made a comment about how cute of a couple they made.
“I'm sorry for not telling her we were not, uhm, dating.” he commented as he looked at his hands. “I know even when I tried to years ago that you don't see me like that, I wasn't- I was just- It caught me off guard, that's why I just nodded when she said it.”
And False didn't get what he meant, sure a couple of years back she remembers Ren saying he thought he had a crush in a Hermit, and how he really wanted to do something about it and well False hadn't been sure what to answer to him, she had felt sad after all at knowing he liked someone when she liked him, so she had only made a comment how she was asexual but that she didn't though any of the other Hermits would be like that.
(Looking back False can't understand how blind she was to the fact, Ren had literally confessed to her but she hadn't thought possible that he liked her, even when back then there was literally no one else but her that he could have been talking about)
So she had asked what he was talking about in referring that he knew she didn't like him like that, and Ren had turned to look at her in so much confusion as he said: “You are, like, aromantic, right? Like you said to me when I… When I confessed years ago that you didn't like people like that which is good, I- I understand.”
And False doesn't even know how her face moves to be before she is saying: “No, I am asexual which means I don't experience sexual attraction most of the time, I-” She had paused as she shallowed, knowing that she may be about to say some life changing stuff. “I have like you in a romantic sense for a while, dude”
And well now they were here, basically about to go on a first date of sorts… How odd it all was.
When False knocked on the door she expected to have to wait for a couple of seconds considering Ren had said he was gonna try to make a five star meal for her so he could show her he wasn't that bad at cooking; but well it seem Ren was just on edge at her because he opened the door almost instantly, he had a bouquet of what looked like blue buttercups of sorts in her hands that he immediately throw into False's hand, which she barely manage to catch.
They stare at each other for a second before he laughed embarrassedly and asked her to come in, as she did she made sure to comment. “Beautiful flowers… Why did you choose them? I thought you would be more of a roses guy”
Ren grin as she asked this, which was not surprising, and as he helped her take off her coat and scarf he said: “Well yeah, but this is a big thing for us and I wanted to show you how much this means to me, and Anemones are like sometimes seen as the tears of Aphrodite and I think the red ones can me like lost love, like how we almost didn't… You know, so I- I choose them because of how like they are a metaphor of what we didn't have and how today is the last time we mourn that” He paused as his hands were around False's upper arm, he was so nervous and it was kind of cute, even with how much of a sap he was being. “Also I choose blue because of our MCC 9 win, even if blue has a very different meaning”
Finally, she smiled, and took another look at said flowers. “Well they are nice, and I'm glad you had a great time choosing them” He laughed before he started walking her in as he started to tell her all about how dumb he had felt trying to explain to the flower vendor what he wanted.
They sit down as Ren keeps on talking, and False is kind of happy with just seeing go around setting the table for them both, putting the flowers to the side and trying to impress her, as if she had not said to him she has been in love with him for years.
The food is actually pretty nice and False will admit Ren did seem to put a special care into making it taste great, and the wine definitely gives it an even more special taste. And once they are done, False insists on making a point to help him clean the dishes even though he tries to be so much of a gentleman and not make her do anything.
Is nice though, kinda of domestic to just clean dishes and to clean the table with Ren, it makes her mourn just a little not having realized how both of them had been pining for each other and not doing anything but maybe this time that they both know and that they both really want this they can make a life together with more moments like this.
When they are done, though, Ren as the romantic he always is pulls her to the backyard he was so happy that the house had, and he had put on fairy lights all over the trees on here as well as settle down a blanket with some pillows as well as a cassette player that looks like it has lived a good life.
False thinks he wants to go sit and look at the stars considering it's pretty late already, but he stops her from doing so, and bends down to put on a cassette, he fumbles with it before the guitar intro of Iris from The Goo Goo Dolls starts filling the silence between them.
Ren turns to False with a big grin and offers her a hand as if inviting her to dance; as she does so, he puts a hand on her waist and one on her shoulder, he starts mumbling the lyrics as he moves them from side to side.
“This is so bad,” she laughs into his ear. “I don't know how to dance”
He smiles, and presses a kiss on her cheek. “Doesn't matter, baby, just move side to side”
And so they do, Ren keeps on singing and finally as the song passes, he stares at her eyes and they are so close and she really thinks they are about to kiss, they are just inches apart from one another after all, but Ren ends up moving to pull her hand up and kissing that instead.
And Ren seems to be rather nervous as he pulls her back so they can fall into the pillows, he holds her hands in such a touch as he says as he closes her eyes: “You are perfection/False you are the only one-/To make dreams come true”
False turns fully to look at him in the eyes, he seems so vulnerable as he confesses his love for her, as if she hadn't started to seem just how much he loved her for the past couple of years,
“Was that a poem?”
He is so red, and he is trying his best to look at her. “Yes, a haiku, I made it… Years ago.” He starts to laugh. “Is dumb, ignore me, I just… I feel like maybe we can finally be uhm… Something so I wanted to tell you”
False smiles, and turns to look up at the stars, the trees really frame the sky beautifully and with the fairy lights it really does feel like every shining she sees is a moment left to live alongside Ren. “It's alright, I… It was very nice,” she gives him a softer smile, even though it feels stranger than normal to be this open, this vulnerable with him. “I liked it, it was very you”
He smiles, way more sure of himself, and his hand comes to cup her face. “I'm glad… I will write hundred more to show you how much you mean to me”
“Sap,” she says before she closes her eyes and lets her head fall against him. “I think everyone knows you do, they just don't believe you are brave enough to do something about it”
He laughs, and he is pressing his lips against her, and his beard scratches her just a bit, but that gets forgotten well enough as soon as he says: “Well… We are something now, so I don't think I care what everyone thinks considering no one knows we have been more for a while”
Yeah. She thinks so herself.
