Summary

Meanwhile, the real Adenoid Hynkel escapes from the very prison camp he built. Stripped of his medals, his power, and his pride, the broken tyrant flees to the last place his soldiers would ever look: the ghetto. When he collapses in the streets, near death, he is rescued by Hannah. Blinded by relief, she doesn't question his coldness; she mistakes the wounded dictator for her beloved Barber returning traumatized from the camps.
Hynkel's plan is cold and calculated: use her protection until he regains his strength, then take back his empire. But in the warmth of her home, surrounded by a fierce, unconditional care he has never known, the iron dictator begins to thaw.
