path to greed

Summary:

Yoona patted the bed as she lay down, looking very expectant. Jiwoo continues staring at her, surprised, feeling very baffled by all this.

At first, she was taken aback by Jinsol's pushiness and blatantly mimicking her, then got teased by Yoona for asking about the pushy Jinsol, and now that same unnie - who is Jiwoo's other favorite unnie she feels safe towards - is starting to be pushy too?

Out of all the times ever since they became roommates, Yoona has never once asked to sleep together in the same bed, only Jiwoo does. She always prioritizes the members and their comfort. In a way, it's out of character for her to be this assertive, only Jiwoo does.

She's now beginning to feel skeptical about this whole thing, whether or not both of them are in on this, and she surely doesn't know the reason why.

Work Text:

Jiwoo has recently been witnessing Yoona and Jinsol being together a lot more these past few months, during and after their promotions ended, and the energy that she got from them was borderline intimate.

So, as one should naturally react, she felt jealous. Although it's not the serious kind, she just felt left out.

She's always fine with them interacting, whether it's during a schedule or not. She's already smushed between them most of the time, it always has. It's just that the last birthday livestream of last year was, to say the least, the last straw. Them talking about birthday food presents for each other doesn't help either, and she surely isn't excited - slightly, for Yoona's birthday next as much as she doesn't want to admit.

Her most favorite unnies have always been Yoona and Jinsol. Sure, she slightly likes Jinsol more, but this doesn't change that fact. Jiwoo loves them, she's always been affectionate towards them, always finds the opportunity to be remotely close to them as much as possible - even where a lot of people can see them, and she knows that they both love her too. When Jiwoo is being affectionate, they'll reciprocate. When Jiwoo asks (shyly) for a compliment, they'll give it to her. When Jiwoo invades their personal space, they let her. The same thing goes vice versa too.

The three of them have already realized and acknowledged their feelings for one another, it's mutual, but both Yoona and Jinsol never thought of having their somewhat established relationship as anything more than that. As a throuple.

They don't seem to mind the ambiguity of it all - well, Yoona and Jinsol are. Their tight and busy schedules can't really have them give time to blossom their relationship further anyway. They also don't mind if one happens to be the "third-wheeler", that doesn't stop them from teasing and jokingly sulking about it time to time, however.

They already know the fans love to gush about stuff like that - specifically the pairings, so they can't really lie about having this whole thing as sort of a business relationship as well. As painful as it sounds for one in particular.

It's a perfectly balanced relationship where everyone gives and takes, everyone does their own thing for each other, and they're fine with it. This should be a good relationship, it should be - it already is.

But now seeing them laugh together, bicker with each other, being close together, and even "shamelessly" flirting with each other. Jiwoo had already seen this so many times, and yet, there's this underlying fire that's starting to burn stronger inside her chest.

Which was why she set a plan, a great master plan, to put herself in between Yoona and Jinsol in closer proximity. She never gave in to this fire per se, but she's already been doing this for a while now, long before Jinsol's birthday livestream.

But what Jiwoo never knew is that both Yoona and Jinsol already noticed this greedy lil' pup being a bit more affectionate recently. They brought it up to one another. Both initially wanted to talk it out, but Jinsol had a better plan, to which Yoona agreed.

So, they decided to play fire with fire.

On the day when they performed for New Year's, everyone in the concert counted down and celebrated. After the commentary segment, the girls went back to the waiting room, though some hurriedly ran to it.

Yoona wanted to first listen to a song right when the new year hit, so she wasted no time and played it. Avoiding any other song that could possibly play in the waiting room. It's a song that's been recommended as the first song to listen to when the new year comes, since the song is about being lucky, it's a good luck charm.

Yoona played it on speaker so everyone could listen to it, some bopped their heads, and some hummed while getting touch-ups on their hair and makeup.

Jinsol, in particular, decided to dance next to Yoona while the camera was recording in front of them, enjoying the music together.

This was the perfect opportunity for Jiwoo to join alongside them, but regrettably it's midnight, so she already feels tired. Especially after performing with all her energy a while ago. All she could do was smile and glance at them from time to time while resting, despite sulking a little bit.

All of them went back on stage again for the last time, along with everyone, since it's the last commentary segment. The girls are standing behind a row of groups, with Jiwoo being on the far end of their own row next to Yoona, and Jinsol right after her.

After the talk finished with the hosts thanking everyone and the audience, the last song for the day - that everyone needs to sing - began playing.

It's a beautiful scene where white confetti flutters down from the bright lights, along with the blue screens illuminating everything. Everyone is singing together and dancing together - though some are having too much fun, but either way, it's a grand time of their lives.

The girls are swaying left to right, singing along to the song. Haewon and Lily singing their part, Kyujin and Jinsol jamming together vigorously, while the other two are quietly swaying - enjoying it with their last bit of energy.

Jiwoo looked up at the confetti, admiring the view. The inconsistent swaying had her and Yoona's hands brush against each other. This grounded Jiwoo from her daze and looked down at her hand. She quickly glanced up at Yoona, who was lifting her other arm up, trying to catch some confetti for whatever reason.

Jiwoo thought her drowsiness might've also been related to her sulking a while ago, she still is regardless. This counts as plan B in her book, and slowly grabbed Yoona's hand in the midst of everything.

This caught Yoona's attention, and looked at her in amusement. Jiwoo looked up as well, with a slight pout. As if she understood what that meant, Yoona nodded and looked back at the crowd. Jiwoo could tell she didn't actually know, but she never decided to clarify it further.

They kept their hands that way for a while until Yoona decided to interlock their fingers.

This surprised Jiwoo, slightly dousing her sleepiness out. She looked at her, trying to get some sort of reaction from her. She could barely see, but Yoona was grinning discreetly as she focused on the audience, slightly to the right. She began to clench Jiwoo's hand a bit harder, massaging it in the process like it's her plaything. Making her wide awake even more, feeling warmer than earlier.

Yoona wasn't done, however, and began to tug her hand further into her side with a bit of force, constraining her to be closer.

Starting to feel her cheeks flushed, Jiwoo began to be more vigilant of her surroundings. There could be fancams that are filming in front of them, and the possibility of other groups looking behind them. This goes on until the end of the song, walking back to the waiting room.

Yoona knew what that meant. She occasionally glanced at Jiwoo looking at them earlier in the waiting room after all.

It's late at night, and they're preparing to go to the airport. They went to their designated vans, and Jiwoo got to be with Jinsol and Haewon for today.

Jiwoo came in last and saw an empty seat in front of her. Next to the empty seat is Haewon, already sitting with her eyes closed, and Jinsol is at the back with her earbuds on. She could also see that the vacant space next to Jinsol is empty. She suddenly remembered her master plan,

And so, she saw this opportunity,

"Unnie, can I sit next to you?" in a quiet tone,

Jinsol somehow didn't notice her right away, still looking out the window. Jiwoo didn’t bother to lower the empty seat next to her, so her legs are starting to wear out as she's awkwardly squatting halfway, compacted in the middle of the van.

"..Unnie?"

Jiwoo tapped her knee. Jinsol finally noticed her as she removed her earbuds. She repeated the question,

Jinsol immediately gasped - albeit quietly somehow, and lightly bounced against the seat,

"Sure!" she whispered as she grinned brightly,

She then grabbed her bag from her side to her lap, hugging it.

Even though it's dark, you could clearly see her eyes sparkling and teeth shining, as she continuously looked at Jiwoo. On the other hand, Jiwoo was a bit surprised - rather embarrassed by the sudden energy spike, but felt glad since what happened just now made her sad even for just a second.

She left her bag on the empty seat and sat really close as she clung to her arm for dear life despite the thick winter clothes.

Jiwoo thought that since winter is at its peak, this action she's doing wouldn't seem too much. The cold is too much - rather, so doing this makes sense. What she didn't expect was Jinsol beginning to do the same thing afterwards, although a bit too strongly, which further confuses Jiwoo, though she doesn't mind.

This goes on for too long as Jiwoo would've liked. Her arm is starting to get numb, and it's getting hotter in this position. She also noticed the wide grin that Jinsol had on her face still.

"Um... Unnie?" Jiwoo said while she looked up at her.

"Yes?" Jinsol immediately answered in a mischievous tone, eyes still on the road, not looking at Jiwoo.

"I-It's getting a bit too hot, you know?"

Even though it is technically hot, she's not budging away from Jinsol.

"Ah- sorry, sorry." She finally let go of Jiwoo's arm, leaving them a bit of distance from each other, "Then how about..."

Jinsol moved back a little and put her arm over Jiwoo's shoulders, enveloping her gently,

"Is this better?"

Jiwoo couldn't reply in time as she's still grasping the pleasant feeling from Jinsol's arm, not as uncomfortably hot as before. It's the perfect warmth that they could both have right now, in the end, she could only nod. Jinsol softly giggled in response.

She could hear her heartbeat, but not to the point where it's too fast she's going crazy. Jiwoo feels so safe in her arms that she isn't. She swore she could also feel Jinsol's heartbeat, nonetheless it's a comfortable position that they could doze off at any minute.

Afterwards, she let her head lean onto Jinsol's shoulder. Jinsol did the same again, leaning on her head.

The quiet yet deafening sound of the van's tires running across the road, along with their heartbeats and warmth radiating off of each other. They eventually slept through the trip.

It's been a few days since, and Jiwoo has had numerous "losses" of not managing to become hotel roommates with either Yoona or Jinsol from their elimination games. They've just finished their fansign schedule, and this time she finally gets to be roommates with Yoona - although again, she never gets tired of being Yoona's eternal roommate.

Jiwoo looked at Yoona, grinning, happy to be her roommate yet again. Yoona noticed and smiled back with her eyes, only to look away seconds after, as if she was embarrassed by something. Jiwoo noticed this.

They all went to their respective rooms, and both had finished washing up, preparing to go to sleep.

Jiwoo sat on her bed, staring at Yoona, who was already lying down, looking at her phone. She's been hoping to be roommates with Yoona again, because lately Jinsol is becoming too attached to her than she'd ever been these past few days, ever since they've been going abroad. Although "attached", it's more like she's mimicking how she's affectionate towards Jinsol as far as Jiwoo noticed.

She's actually incredibly fine to let Jinsol be that attached, but she's just very confused. She couldn't figure out if there's a reason she's doing this or not, even though there's also a high chance that it's all in her head and it's just because Jinsol adores her so much.

She doesn't dare to ask the perpetrator herself, because she feels Jinsol would just tease her more. Yoona was also there in most instances, so luckily, she's alone with her right now that she's brave enough to ask. Despite the moment being finally here, she still hasn't planned on how to actually say or bring the topic up-

"What's up?"

The second Jiwoo looked up and realized Yoona had already been looking at her for who knows how long. She was too focused on her thoughts that she didn't notice minutes had already passed by, her cheeks beginning to warm up. Now she doesn't know how to bring it up anymore, as her initially composed mind began to melt.

Jiwoo started fidgeting,

"Um, about Sol-unnie..."

"..What about her?" Yoona began to sit up, facing in front of her.

"Uh..."

Yoona staring at her doesn't help. Jiwoo really wanted to bury herself in a hole, feeling shy over this,

"Why is she.. being so..."

Yoona tried to wait, "So..?"

"Ugh- you know what I'm talking about..."

"Hm? About what?" she said slyly as she tilted her head.

"Huh? Come on, I know you saw it too!"

"I wouldn’t know what you're trying to talk about unless you actually tell me, Jiwoo."

She grinned slightly, despite speaking in a somewhat serious tone, making Jiwoo even more bewildered about this whole thing.

"I- ..Are you in this too?"

Yoona instantly laughed - almost falling back down to the bed,

"Sorry-" she sat upright again, "Yes, about her bothering you, right?"

"Yeah, she's starting to be more clingy towards me.. like how I become clingy towards her? Which confuses me, 'cause she would copy what I did to her, back to me - and she would continuously do that even when I'm not being affectionate towards her... Not that I hate it, though."

Yoona crossed her arms while nodding,

"Okay.. and why did you want to tell me this?" she furrowed her brows.

"Because I wanted to ask if you know anything about why unnie started being like that."

Yoona hums and slowly looks away from Jiwoo as she's thinking deeply,

"She never told anything to me about that, and you know she would do things out on a whim because she wanted to."

"Really..? I thought she would've told you because.. you two.. are..." she began mumbling her words as she continued further,

"What?" Yoona couldn't hear her and leaned forward slightly,

"Uh- no, never mind that," Jiwoo waved her hand, "But.. that wouldn't make sense, 'cause this kept on going more than she would usually do, right? It's already more than a week."

There's a brief silence,

"Well, I don't really have much to say because I don't know." Yoona exhaled,

"And everyone is becoming more open these days, so I'd say pay no attention to that anymore, and let's sleep. We still have more schedules incoming." she stood up and grabbed a pillow, walking away from her bed.

"Yeah, but..." Jiwoo looked down,

Jiwoo wanted a clear answer, because she does want something out of this. She doesn't want to be in a situation where it's just something ambiguous anymore. She created her master plan just for this, and yet, she couldn't really bring her feelings up - at least not yet, not right now. Maybe once they aren't busy, she could maybe muster up the courage.

Jiwoo's bed suddenly shook, and a distinct grunt emerged behind Jiwoo. She looked back to see Yoona sitting on the other side of her bed, with an extra pillow.

"Wait, what are you..?"

"Let's sleep?" she said in a way that this was what she meant, sleeping together - literally.

"No, but-"

"No? You don't want to sleep with me?" Yoona immediately interrupted her, beginning to pout.

"No! ..I mean, I do! Wait, no- I mean, why do you want to sleep.. together?"

"Why not?" she moved the pillows side by side, "We've slept together before, and don't you realize how cold it is these days?"

Jiwoo felt déjà vu, "But you usually don't-"

Yoona is starting to get impatient,

"I just want to cuddle with you, Jiwoo," she spoke softly in a lower tone than earlier, "Is that a no-go..?"

Her train of thought suddenly stopped to a halt when she saw Yoona with her pleading eyes, acting needy out of the blue. That made Jiwoo suddenly feel feverish, her heart briefly stopped. She really wanted to win this, not letting Yoona have her way again. Seeing this though, she can't help but want to give in and just dive right into her arms, despite her mind already set in stone.

After much internal conflict, there's one thing that she hates to admit, however. She can't say no to them, no matter what the request is.

She opened up the blanket and finally lay down next to Yoona, facing her. Yoona giggled happily, smiling,

"Thank you, my Jjyu~." she reached out her arms and hugged Jiwoo, to which she only hummed an affirmation, blushing under Yoona.

Regardless of her rebutting Yoona just earlier, she does feel safe and protected in this position. Wrapped in her arms, just buried onto Yoona's chest, hearing the rhythm of both her heartbeat and breath, all while engulfed inside the warm blanket. Not to mention the gentle patting on her head, occasionally brushing her hair.

While Yoona is still awake, Jiwoo suddenly wonders if she should also ask about her and Jinsol. But at the same time, well, she also doesn't want to break this off - and she probably shouldn't have thought of that because she starts to feel a bit annoyed. So in the heat of the moment, she hugged her tighter.

Yoona muttered a sound in surprise, briefly stopped her patting, only to continue shortly after. This makes Jiwoo want to strengthen her embrace more, their legs tangling together. Both their hearts were slowly beating faster, in spite of one being also irritated.

"Anything wrong?" Yoona mumbled,

Jiwoo shook her head eagerly, still deciding not to talk.

"Okay."

Minutes have gone by, and Jiwoo's still awake, realizing Yoona had fallen asleep since her hand is just on her head, motionless.

Jiwoo can't help but hate feeling this way, feeling happy of being loved, somewhat annoyed, all while somehow... feeling jealous. A mixture of everything, and Jiwoo knows it's a recipe for disaster. She also fears it might come out bursting soon enough.

It took a long while before Jiwoo fell asleep too.

It's yet another fan sign day in yet another country. The last round of signing is just about done, almost everyone went back to their seats, got their albums signed, and gifts given.

Several staff is preparing for the next segment, with Haewon and Lily talking to the fans. The first members have started to choose on what things to wear, while the last members have just finished signing.

Jiwoo, still sitting on the chair, decided to wear an animal hat and posed cutely for the fans. Then switched to another. Aside from some of the members standing up, posing, and wearing outfits, it's a busy situation as other staff were walking back and forth. Bringing out more clothes to the table, and the last fan finally walked back to the audience.

On the table row, Jiwoo is after Jinsol, so she's also just finished signing a while ago. But before she realized it, Jinsol had already been doing poses as she wore a volleyball jersey based on a popular animation show.

What caught her eyes the most was when Jinsol then grabbed an engagement ring plushie on the table and posed some more. Jiwoo is still doing some poses from the requests, but her mind is now occupied by that ring plush.

After finishing a fan request, Jiwoo stood up and walked near Jinsol, staring down at the ring. She's having second thoughts about what she could do to that ring and Jinsol. She wasn't sure if she should play it cutely or what - but while deep in thought, her mind suddenly replayed the instances of Yoona and Jinsol during the previous fan signs.

Despite what she initially had in mind, her instincts took over on impulse and yanked the ring out of the box, wearing it on her wrist.

She immediately realizes what she did, but decides to still play it off somewhat angrily. She can't exactly see Jinsol's expression as she averted her eyes to the crowd, but she could tell she's staring at her in shock.

Jiwoo had a grin that reached her eyes, boasting it in front of the fans. While a sad Jinsol brushed it off by dancing, still with an empty ring box.

This went on for a while, and Jiwoo isn't exactly mad anymore. Thankfully, Jinsol extinguished that for her and finally gave the ring back as she watched Jinsol put it back into the box.

Jiwoo didn't really think much of it and thought Jinsol would move on to another thing, until she realized she was still facing in front of her, still holding the ring plush. She moved back with an expectant face and slowly opened the box. Jiwoo finally understood where this was going, her happy meter going up exponentially.

Jiwoo pointed at herself to readdress the situation, making sure she's not dreaming. Jinsol began to kneel in front of her, eventually making the whole thing like a proposal. This counts as affirmation.

Couldn't contain her excitement anymore, Jiwoo gasped and hurriedly grabbed the ring with her foot flicked up behind her. Jinsol sprang up in a wide smile and opened up her arms to hug Jiwoo. Her cheeks still flushed, and she shyly accepted it.

Jiwoo does know fans are also watching, but this soft hug from Jinsol after getting proposed to by her makes her feel wonders, she doesn't really care about anything and just wants to focus on her. Even though she also knows this is just pretend, she can't help but be so content about it. To some extent, this is like Jinsol acknowledging that their love is something more, as Jiwoo would like to think it is.

Jinsol finally let go, but she's still so giddy that her feet fluttered up, grabbing the ring that Jiwoo's holding like their proposal is genuine. She blushed further from how Jinsol's acting. Out of too much excitement, Jiwoo rushed over to the other side of the stage, trying to calm herself.

Jiwoo, now hugging two plushies along with a mic, saw Yoona fixing the scarf, about to wear it. She walked over to her in high spirits. She continued smiling at her and suddenly had a great idea, beginning to fidget - twisting her body cutely.

After being proposed by Jinsol earlier, Jiwoo felt the need to also be affectionate towards Yoona - "bother" would be a fitting term, but Jiwoo would disagree. In general, most people would just be happy and content with one person. But to Jiwoo, it's hard being "content" with only one, especially when you're always together with six people. Not to mention, within them are two that she really likes.

She holds up her mic,

"Can't unnie do it together with Jiwoo? It's cold~."

An uproar began to emerge within the auditorium, affected by her cuteness towards Yoona. This is her payback for that one time in their hotel room days ago, so to speak, reusing the unoriginal 'it's cold' technique that they used last time. Finally coming out on top, grinning all the way up her ears, because she sees Yoona with wide eyes. Obviously folding over Jiwoo's sudden aegyo, and also probably her announcing that to everyone contrary to them alone.

Nonetheless, Yoona went along with her request almost immediately, wrapping the scarf around her and Jiwoo soon after... if she didn't accidentally hit her face with it, which made Jiwoo lift her head up in the process, having Yoona cup her face, apologizing.

They finally started posing and faced the cameras after Yoona adjusted the scarf. She hunched over to level with Jiwoo, puckered their lips, with their cheeks lightly touching. This continued with them posing for the fans from left to right, putting their hands on each other's chins, or cutely poking each other's cheeks for fun.

After finishing, Yoona looked at Jiwoo, her lips starting to form a smile. She thought about this whole situation again, and she couldn't help but be so smitten with how Jiwoo could be so damn cute. Because of this, she suddenly wanted to pet her, she lifted up her hand to pet the big fluffy hair bun on Jiwoo's, eventually squeezing it and hugging her tight from cuteness overload. Jiwoo playfully squeals from the banter.

The fansign is almost coming to an end, and it's just several minutes before they perform Blue Valentine. It's honestly an eventful fansign as Jiwoo would like to think, feeling a little bit smug. She could sleep so well after knowing she caught two fishes within the same day. She feels relaxed as she communicates with the fans by mouthing the words, casually giggling at whatever conversation she and the fan just had-

"Hey, it fits!"

Jinsol's voice suddenly echoed throughout, followed by Yoona's laughter. Curious, Jiwoo felt the need to look at what the commotion was. The second she looks at Jinsol, she takes a glance at the engagement ring plush, the same one she wore at the start, to now Jinsol wearing it on her ring finger, fitted snugly over a paw glove. The whole world instantly turned upside down when she saw that Yoona was next to her, holding the ring box, laughing out loud.

Wow... You've got to be kidding me.

"Wow, congratulations on your engagement!"

It didn't help at all when Lily, on the other side of the stage, began to double down on their "engagement". Her animated reaction makes the whole thing funnier. She was further stunned after asking to figure out what happened, she found out it was Yoona who proposed to Jinsol.

But it actually wasn't her. Jinsol yanked the ring out of the box as soon as Yoona opened it, much like how Jiwoo did earlier. Both Jiwoo and Lily didn't know that, however, Jinsol never told them what actually happened as she just kept on showing off her ring.

"Ourh my god... Don't start a rumor, you guys!" Yoona cracked up again.

Lily was still lively with her reactions. As much as how funny it was, Jiwoo, on the other hand, is not doing so good - she wanted to contradict Lily as she's the one to talk, but decided not to.

From her and Jinsol, to now Jinsol and Yoona. Now this is the final straw. Jiwoo shouldn't have jinxed it last time, but honestly at this point, it's not her fault for thinking like this. She's now blaming them for making her feel this way, because they are the ones who did this to themselves - and quite frankly, to Jiwoo, it's gotten a bit too far.

Jiwoo doesn't care anymore whether or not they both planned this "teasing" that they're doing, who did it first, what was the reason, or whatever. This made her finally muster up the courage and confront them about this whole fiasco as soon as possible. She's had enough of the endless teasing and fight backs, needing to not be in this pointless uncertainty anymore.

She knows she's still right in front of everyone, so she's trying her hardest to be nonchalant and not make a scene. All Jiwoo could do at the moment was to stay quiet, now while interacting with Kyujin or anyone else but those two.

Jiwoo realized they might've got the hint, because even when performing Blue Valentine, which is supposedly a fun little time for them, their behavior changed even just slightly when they turned to each other during the dance. They suddenly became wary, those slight concerns that Jiwoo could see in their eyes. It actually makes her feel seen, somewhat superior in a sense. Finally not in the teasing way anymore, albeit the former aren't feeling as happy as she is.

Not even once did they try to bother Jiwoo until their schedule was finished for the day. Even until they went back to the hotel, it's ironic that they managed to be in the same van.

When they arrived, and all three stepped out of the van, Jiwoo grabbed their elbows and whispered,

"I want to talk to you guys about something."

They only managed to finally gather together late at night. After everyone had filled their stomach, washed up, and gone to sleep, the three went down to the lower floor of the hotel garden. Haewon was worried about them as the atmosphere did felt off whenever she talked to either three. With Jiwoo, not as much - she did reassure Haewon she's gonna handle this dumb mess, and she eventually trusts Jiwoo with that.

Even though they did meet up, they actually haven't walked out in the garden. They were still standing awkwardly in front of the elevator, waiting for seemingly nothing. Mindlessly fidgeting and looking anywhere else but them.

"... Let's go outside?" Their heads immediately turned to Jiwoo, nodded.

So even Jiwoo needs to lead them out for this, it's probably because this is the first time it got serious, and everyone is reluctant to even try something. Times like these, she just wanna bonk their heads because of how dumb they are.

They started to stroll through the pathway, taking in the fresh scent of the soil and the night view. Thankfully did Jiwoo finally managed to form the gist of what she wanted to say, since it was a few hours after that happened, though she wants to take in this little breather for a second.

"Sorry, Jiwoo."

Jinsol stopped walking and broke the tense yet calm atmosphere. Jiwoo was also hoping for one of them to speak up, she's still surprised nonetheless. Both her and Yoona stopped as well, turned to look at Jinsol.

"I... well, Yoona and I planned a prank that we thought would be funny. Though I first brought it up, Yoona agreed to go along with it." She said softly as her hands were getting clammy.

"And I never expect- or we never expected it would get too far, and hurt your feelings. We really thought you'd be okay with it-"

"Alright, let me get this straight," Jiwoo interrupted her, "I am okay with the teasing, I really am, with you guys separately teasing me - I'm not mad about that. What I'm mad about is you guys continuously being flirty with each other-" Yoona quietly snickered,

"-Without me!?"

Jiwoo instantly spun her head to Yoona, confused as to why she suddenly laughed out of all times. She's visibly forcing herself not to crack a smile, mumbling the word 'sorry'.

"Wait, so... you got mad at us? Not the teasing?" Jinsol pointed towards her and Yoona.

Jiwoo nodded, "Yes!"

"See!? I told you it was because of that and not the prank." Yoona shoved Jinsol's shoulder.

"Really..?" Jinsol scratched her head, "I guess that's on me..."

"Yeah, you should 'cause I did that to you before you did the same to Yoona-unnie - Actually, let me point it out, you've been copying me the whole time!" Jinsol was left speechless,

"And Yoona-unnie too! You're both copying me all while being.. touchy with each other!" Jiwoo still felt embarrassed of verbally pointing out their situation.

"But the prank is the copying, wouldn't that mean you're still angry about us teasing you?" said Yoona.

"Okay, well.. I said I wasn't, and I'm really not. In fact, I actually wanna keep it that way. It's only when you do that to each other that I'm actually mad."

"Oh," You one greedy dog... Both of them immediately thought,

"But like, why'd you want to pull the prank anyway?" Jiwoo then looked at Jinsol,

Yoona nudged Jinsol, "Uh.. About that..."

"Hey!" Jiwoo pointed at Yoona, who was slightly close to Jinsol, "In this conversation right now, no touching! Especially you both!"

"Sorry.." Yoona distanced herself from Jinsol, leaving all three in equal space.

Jinsol has yet to continue forming her words, awkwardly standing while staring at Jiwoo. Yoona stopped looking at Jinsol, turned to Jiwoo instead, and inhaled,

"The truth is, several months back, we noticed you being unbelievably close to both of us pretty much every time - like intensely close, from crowded places to even in the dorms. That's how Sol got the idea of fighting back by copying you because of you being greedy."

Her voice was loud enough to be heard several feet away,

"Wha- wait Yoona, that's a bit-"

"No, that's quite in fact what you said to me the first time you brought it up-" She briefly glanced at Jinsol, then quickly looked back at Jiwoo afterwards,

"You know, during this whole thing, Jinsol doesn't even let me comfort you, so actually blame her-"

"WHAT?!" Jinsol cut in on her while Yoona pointed at her, "-And not me!"

"That's not- I mean, not as frequently! I didn't force you to stop, just not as mu-"

"Oh my god, guys, stop!"

Jiwoo's voice became louder in a somewhat angry tone. She's had enough of their antics, and she also doesn't want to let them fight further either,

"Again, that was mostly 'cause of you guys! God forbid, I wanna be in between of your little flirting sesh. Sorry for being a greedy little gremlin, damn." She ended in a sarcastic tone,

"Sorry, I didn't actually mean that-" Yoona tried to apologize, yet Jiwoo continued,

"To be honest, I planned that for myself 'cause.." She paused, "I had enough..."

Jiwoo looked down as she's trying to calm her heart, still ended up being nervous.

"..I just wanted this to be something more. I don't know if it's too much to ask, but I don't want it to be in this... vague situation where it's nothing but meaningless teasing and affection, then forget about it the next day. Like it's just a little fun on a regular Tuesday."

She looked up to see them staring at her, both in their own ways,

"I just want you guys to have a real relationship with me, y'know? And having just one of you in a relationship doesn't seem complete if that makes sense? Like, let's say, 'sure, I wanna be with Sol-unnie', but then I ended up thinking 'but what about Yoona-unnie?' Those kinds of thoughts..."

Yoona and Jinsol quickly looked at each other, discreetly nodding, and looked back at Jiwoo.

She sighed, "This rambling is probably a load of crap, and I'm probably just the only one thinking on wanting to have this. I really just want us to be..."

Yoona came closer and lightly whacked her head, "Ack!"

"If Jiwoo really wants it, you could've just asked then and never had this huge problem from the start."

Yoona began hugging her, patting her on the back,

"Truth!" Jinsol walked to and hugged them as well.

"Unnie-deul..." Jiwoo reciprocated the hug, "I'm sorry for being like this, I feel frustrated at myself.. because I love you two too much..."

Yoona giggled, "What do you mean? You don't have to feel sorry, stupid."

"Yeah, stupid." Jinsol copied Yoona, "And we love you too."

"Hey, stop calling me stupid..." They both laughed,

"So like, are we... Um, official.. now?" Jiwoo moved back a bit to look at the two,

They nodded, "Yes!"

"Yeah! I mean, I thought we already kinda were. That was mostly why I was comfortable enough doing that prank in the first place... And that was my bad for assuming that." Jinsol awkwardly smiled.

"Oh, sorry... I did want a confirmation, though. But like, are we really, really?"

Jiwoo still couldn't believe the situation right now,

"'Cause like... we're more than two, y'know? And usually when you're in a relationship, couples are two. This is.. um," She still feels shy on trying to say it, "..A throuple, y'know?"

"Well.. yeah, it might be weird to some, but isn't that because we happen to all love each other the same way, right?" Jinsol let go of the hug,

"I adore you a lot and find you cute all the time, and the same goes for Yoona. You might seem like you only love me since you're vocal about it, but you also love Yoona as much too, right? As for me and Yoona..." She hesitantly glanced at Yoona, looking expectant,

Yoona looked at her too, although felt a bit suspicious, she started to suddenly grin, "We just wanted to deepen our friendship, is all."

"...Friendship??" Jinsol looked horrified, betrayed by Yoona's words.

Yoona immediately burst into laughter, almost collapsed right then and there. Jinsol is still glaring at her,

"You're telling me it was just friendship..? All of that loving, and affection, and intimacy - were all just FRIENDSHIP!?" Each word she continued, she slowly raised her voice. Beginning to pounce on Yoona.

"Ew, I don't like the way you say it." Yoona still keeps on cracking up and shielding herself, all while backing off and getting behind Jiwoo,

"Jiwoo-ah, help me~..."

Jiwoo eventually came to the conclusion that they could never not bicker and fight (though most of the time physically), even when they had already made up just a second ago.

She bonked each of their heads, "Ow!"

"So do you guys love each other or not?"

"Of course we do, it's just that Sol doesn't know how to handle that verbally, especially to me. And she knows, right?" Yoona glanced at Jinsol,

"... Yeah, you're right.." She began fidgeting, but before she realized it, Yoona's lips were already placed on her left cheek, leaving a gentle peck on Jinsol.

"WHA?!" Jinsol immediately moved backwards and stopped like a statue, feeling her cheek. She eventually ended up getting red.

"And this is why physical affection is usually the way to go, it doesn't get as awkward as verbal affection. Although she tries to act nonchalant."

Yoona giggled as she whispered to Jiwoo. She then proceeded to lightly kiss Jiwoo's cheek as well. Jiwoo felt delighted with the feeling.

"Really? Umm... I don't think Sol-unnie's doing good, though." Jiwoo eventually returned the kiss, slightly tiptoeing. Yoona chuckled,

"Well, that's because this is the first time I kissed her on a whim, the ones I usually do are the ones you saw that got you jealous."

"Oh... Alright-"

Even though Jiwoo spoke faintly, a loud cry suddenly erupted right in front of her and Yoona,

"THAT'S NOT FAIR!!" Jinsol had a very animated, angry face, to the point you might even see fire burning on top of her head,

"Hey, quiet down. It's late at night, people in their rooms might hear you-"

Jinsol instantly went and ran directly towards Jiwoo, to also peck a kiss on her cheek, although a bit sloppily this time. Jiwoo screamed from how surprisingly scary it was getting jumped by her like this. Meanwhile, Yoona stood there silently, mouth agape.

Later did they both realized that this isn't a peck anymore, it's more of a smooch now. Jiwoo started to whine out of her life, desperately trying to get rid of Jinsol from her face. Despite her blushing from the situation, she feared it might worsen - in a good way. She just doesn't want to get kissed in a public place like this, especially when it's this intense. For the first time, too.

"Yoona-unnie help-!!" Yoona eventually knocked off her daze and went to stop Jinsol.

"Hey! Sol-ah! Stop that," She finally managed to separate her from Jiwoo, "You're scaring her now, and it's getting late. We should go back.."

Yoona realized the way Jinsol was looking at her, weirdly as if she's out of it, occasionally switching her stare from her eyes to her lips. Yoona felt her spine suddenly shiver, already knowing where this is going,

"... Wa-wa-wait, Jinsol don't tell me you're-"

"It's not fair it's only you guys... Aren't we a throuple now?" Jinsol pouted,

She's starting to inch closer, while Yoona's tilting backwards. Forcibly having Yoona trying to push Jinsol away, at the same time, Jinsol relentlessly pushing her back. Jiwoo began to squeal in shock,

"Why can't you just wait for a damn second-"

This unnecessary tug of war keeps dragging on, with Jiwoo as the main audience, not knowing whether to stop them or continue watching the show. Crazy to think she was against them being like this a while ago.

"BAE JINSOL..!"

It's been a couple of days since, and they just finished a birthday livestream. Particularly, Yoona's birthday, which Jiwoo supposedly wasn't that excited for - if she still had the same thought a few months ago. Instead, she’s unbelievably quite happy today. After the fact she's now finally in a relationship with Yoona and Jinsol, officially.

The next morning after that night, Haewon checked up on them and was surprised by the vast difference in energy after they became a throuple. She was also,

"You're a WHAT?!"

Considerably flabbergasted by that fact as well. She doesn't even know what to think of this outcome. Is it a good thing that they finally made up? Or a bad thing, as it would become a huge scandal and every staff member would get so stressed trying to salvage the situation? No one would think or even dared a group in this industry would have a polyamorous relationship, when it's already controversial, per se, with a two-person relationship. It's a very highly unlikely situation, but it somehow did happen - and it happened to them.

After Haewon tried to get a grasp of what she just heard, they eventually decided to keep it a secret. They also weren't sure if they should also tell the rest about it, but they decided not to and let fate decide when they should know. For some reason, Jinsol finds it exciting that only they and Haewon know about it.

In hindsight, it might be difficult to even tell they're actually in a relationship when all of them are already close with each other, even more so recently. And they do realize what they just got themselves into. They could still do what they've literally been doing the past few months, now minus the fact of the greedy little jealousy a certain member had gone through.

During Yoona's livestream, Jiwoo felt so content she was honestly surprised she didn't feel jealous anymore when Jinsol was the last one to kiss Yoona on the cheek - somewhat grossly. She even took a closer look at them and shrieked in excitement.

At long last, the fire that was burning in her chest lingers no longer, extinguished by the very people who first lit it up.

"Oh yeah, since we're now a throuple..." Jinsol nudged both Yoona and Jiwoo, acting secretive,

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking..?"

"... What?"

While Jiwoo answered, Yoona was racking her brain. Trying to find what Jinsol could possibly mean,

"Wait a sec..! You're not thinking about that, are you?" Yoona furrowed her brows, baffled. She couldn't believe what Jinsol just brought up.

Jinsol grinned, followed by a menacing laugh. Jiwoo still hasn't got the clue.

"Oh, what if I am thinking what you're thinking?" She grinned further,

Yoona groaned, "You're a damn pervert, you know that?"

Jiwoo stared at them back to back, "Wait, what is???"
