The way the blade glided on his skin felt like bliss to him, the stinging that came with it felt nothing like the relief that came after
Red lines mared his pale arms

"Hey mattie, you good? You've been too quiet even for you" Alfred said as he walked into his little brothers room

He found something he really wished he didn't
Matthew head snapped to look at Alfred
His eyes started to widen with terror and humiliation

He was going to get attention now

"Put it down" Alfred said a little too calm
But Matthew was still frozen there
But he didn't think anyone would care

It felt strange to finally be seen even though it wasn't for something he wanted to be seen for
Alfred snatched the blade away and grabbed Matthew's arm
He inspected the cuts on Matt's arms

Too fresh
"Im telling dad"
Matthew immediately panicked
He yacked Alfred back
"NO, don't tell him, please-"
Matthew was was struggling to find a good reason to not tell their father
"Matthew your fucking hurting yourself, I can't not tell dad!" Alfred said as he was trying to pull Matthew away from him
Matthew was getting desperate, tears were staring to flow

Angry and shameful tears were flowing down his face as he was pulling Alfred away from the door

"I-I can't, Alfred, I can't do this anymore" he choked out through sobs
Alfred stood there like an idiot

What was he supposed to say to a suicidal person!?
He pulled mattie into a tight hug
He wanted to go tell their father
But Matthew needed him there first
So as any big brother would do

He immediately went to tell their parents

He rather have a very angry Matthew than a dead Matthew
