David waits at the doors of Hades. He hates the spring. It seems all too incorrect. So many bugs flitting about. So much hay fever. So many birds with their endless squawking. So many babies with their endless wailing. If you ask David (and no one ever does) winter is much nicer. It's quiet, peaceful. It has a simple color palate of white and black.
But Patrick, he loves Spring. This year he even looks like spring, with his wild chestnut curls and his rich deep boney eyes. Patrick even dresses like the spring, favoring to wear robes the color of the sky.
Patrick leaves every spring to help his mom, which you know is nice. It's what a good child should do.
David should really take the time to go to Olympus himself... BUT
Hades is so bothersome. It has endless tasks, and even when he does go to Olympus, Hades has a way of pulling him back. People pray that they never end up in his realm, but to David it's well... it's home.
Patrick kisses David before he leaves, because he's a good person and that's what good people do.
David prays for the leaves to fall again, because well, then Patrick will be with him again.
