“I love duct tape!”
The sound of duct tape coming off the roll echoed through the air as Shinonome Hakase stood up on the traditional table.
“Marvel at this scientific marvel!” she continued, the end of the duct tape sticking to her one hand.
“Uh-huh,” Nano said, moving the cup of tea so Hakase wouldn’t step in it.
“It can put anything together, fix leaks in boats, and mend space shuttles!” the child genius declared, exaggerating the qualities of duct tape simply because it was her new infatuation. She gave a tug, and then frowned. “Oh! It’s stuck.”
She then pulled some more, trying to use her mouth and other hand as the roll rolled away, and the sound of duct tape coming away from duct tape was heard as she let out a muffled sound, and then a turn, a twist, and another turn—
Soon, Hakase found herself in a duct tape cocoon.
Nano set the cup of tea down and reached out and pulled the part covering Hakase’s mouth away. “You okay?”
“I love duct tape!” Hakase responded.
