Work Text:

Leon sits quietly at the edge of Chris' desk, having pulled up a chair to sit with the man while he works. Leon is still in uniform, it wrinkling as he remains perched against Chris' desk with his elbow near the edge, his cheek pillowed in his palm. He fidgets with a loose paperclip, his eyes traveling over to the clock on the wall - nine p.m.

He sighs. They're three hours behind schedule, some unexpected paperwork keeping Chris at his desk and Wesker stuck in his office.

"You don't have to stay, you know," Chris mumbles, looking up from a document. His brows are creased, a pen tucked up in his curled fist as he looks over to Leon. He feels terrible; their planned date in shambles over some pieces of paper.

Leon frowns, his expression morphing sadly as his brows curl together, his gaze dropping to where his hand rested against the desk. "It'd be no fun alone…" He murmurs back, trailing off. Admittedly, he's a bit upset about the whole ordeal. He's been trying to drag Chris and Wesker to the fair all week, hoping that they'd all get to visit at least once, but the task-force life has been kind to none of them, keeping one of the three posted up, whether it be Leon monitoring a small event, Chris investigating crimes in the area, or Wesker seeing over everything STARS related.

He just wanted to take his boys out for a nice treat. They work so hard, and it is rare for them to all be together outside of work (Leon is Working On That), so the state fair was the perfect time to drag Chris and Wesker out together. Things are new and a bit different, Wesker being the most recent addition to his and Chris' relationship.

It was unexpected, but Leon was no stranger to those pining looks shared between the two STARS members. He and Chris had a long, serious conversation about it, because it was clear there was something there between the two, just like Chris and him. So soon his boyfriend had a boyfriend, and that was okay. He liked Wesker, not realizing just how much he liked Wesker until they went on their first shared date a couple of months back, his skin flushing when Wesker actually acknowledged him with something other than a stern look in his eye, like he was really seeing Leon for the first time.

And thus that is how Leon ended up with two boyfriends. Two handsome men just for him, ones that love each other too! He feels so blessed to have them, to be able to spend time with them in the precinct, but god does he want to see them outside of work more. It's been weeks since all three of them have been able to get together, and today was supposed to amend that, but now he's unsure what will happen at the rate Chris is getting through his paperwork.

"Sorry sweetheart," Chris murmurs, dropping his pen to reach out and drag careful fingers across the back of Leon's palm. They're in the STARS room alone, everyone else gone for the day, so he doesn't have to worry too much about his open affections.

Leon's lips warble slightly, his head tipping so that his bangs fall into his eyes as Chris rubs gently at his hand. It's silly to get so worked up over something like this, but his heart is aching. It's full of so much love and he doesn't have anywhere to put it right now.

"Hey," Chris croons, scooting closer to Leon to tip his chin up with his fingers, his brown eyes reflecting his sympathies. He shifts his hand to cup at Leon's cheek, feeling the way the boy leans from his own palm into Chris' with another sigh. "Why don't you go try to bother Wesker about us leaving early, hm? He's less likely to say no to you than me," Chris suggests softly, rubbing his thumb across the apple of Leon's cheek.

Leon sniffs, his eyes fluttering back up to look at Chris while he asks weakly, "Won't he be mad at me for bothering him?"

"Leon," Chris starts, pinching his cheek gently, "He wont. But, if he gets mad at you, I'll kick his ass."

Leon giggles then, it soft and special and something just for Chris as he smiles, amused, "Are you sure you can do that?"

Chris hums, leaning forward to press a gentle kiss to Leon's lips, feeling and adoring the way Leon melts at the simple affection before he pulls away, encouraging his partner, "Of course I can."

"Okay," Leon breathes, his heart fluttering a bit nervously as he looks to Wesker's closed door. Chris squeezes at Leon's hand as the boy stands and Leon gives it a quick squeeze back before taking the few steps over to Wesker's office. He clears his throat, raising a hand to knock gently on the door while calling out, "Wesk? Can I come in?"

There's a beat of silence before a muffled, "Fine," reaches his ears. Leon carefully pushes his way into Wesker's office, trying to be quiet even if he knows Wesker can see him.

He stands in front of the chair, waving once as he whispers, "Hi."

Wesker raises a brow, not looking up from his paperwork. He too looks frazzled, his own face contorted with thoughts of deep concentration. "What is it, Leon?"

Leon shifts on his feet. He still gets nervous around Wesker, especially when he's in work mode. "Uh-um, I -" He stammers, losing his confidence when Wesker finally does look up at him, blue eyes dulled by the mound of work he's been doing. Leon immediately rescinds, not wanting to stress his partner more than he already is, so he shakes his head, turning with a weak laugh, "N-Nevermind -"

Wesker tuts, leaning back in his chair as he catches Leon by speaking only his name, "Leon."

Leon gulps, his shoulders shrugging up to his ears and his eyes pinching as he turns back to his super-scary-when-upset-boyfriend, "Y-Yes?"

"Come here."

Leon blinks his eyes open to look at Wesker. Wesker cocks a brow, barely tilting his head to signal Leon over. A bashfulness washes over him, making him fidget with his fingers as he murmurs back, "Yes Sir."

Wesker huffs through his nose, opening his arms as he speaks calmly, "I told you not to call me that anymore."

"R-Right, sorry - I'm just -" Leon stammers as he rounds Wesker's desk. He already knows he's invited to sit in Wesker's lap, but he hesitates and scratches at his neck as he murmurs sheepishly, "Am I bothering you? Because I can go."

"Leon," Wesker says his name again, and that's all Leon needs to here before dropping himself carefully down on Wesker's lap, throwing his legs off the other side as he wraps his arms around Wesker's neck to hide his nose there, shivering slightly when Wesker holds him with one steady arm, the other turning them both back towards the desk to continue scribbling on his paperwork.

Leon sighs, it a bit shaky as he tries to calm his nerves. The hand on his back rubs light circles against his uniform while Wesker asks, "What's wrong, kitten?"

Leon's cheeks heat immediately at the pet name, his grip tightening as he hides his forehead deeper in the crook of Wesker's neck, whispering, "I miss you. Chris misses you."

Wesker snorts, his hand stilling as he lets his gaze flick down to the top of Leon's head while he speaks lowly, "You I believe, Chris on the other hand…" He trails off. It's meant to be lighthearted, but he can feel the way Leon takes it seriously as the boy stiffens slightly.

Leon tips his head back to look up at Wesker, brows crinkled in earnest as he speaks up a bit, "He does! He's just -"

"A meathead?" Wesker asks, tone slipping into one of a teasing nature.

Leon blinks for a moment before nodding once, echoing, "A meathead."

Wesker's lips tilt up, just slightly. It's hard to notice, hard for anyone but Leon and Chris to recognize, but Leon knows this look of amusement. It fades just as quickly as it was there, though, Wesker's eyes slipping behind Leon to land on the stack of files on his desk. "Chris isn't done with his paperwork yet?" Wesker asks, rotating the pen in his free hand.

"No," Leon pouts, leaning back with his fingers clasped around the back of Wesker's neck to whine lowly, "He told me I didn't have to stay, but what's the point of going on a date all by myself?"

Wesker hums in response, his brows crinkling. He had at least hoped the two of them would be able to go out, leaving Wesker to finish up his duties by his lonesome, but Chris has never been fast at paperwork.

Leon's fingers shift at the base of Wesker's neck, his voice small as he asks, "Can't you do something about this? I mean - n-not to abuse your position or anything - but, could you maybe push the deadlines?" Wesker raises a neat brow at Leon, making the boy squirm in his lap and grow sheepish, another suggestion falling from his lips, "Or like, spill water all over the papers so they have to dry overnight? I don't know - sorry - I just -"

A faint chuckle makes its way through Wesker's chest, his hand finally dropping the pen entirely on his desk to splay his palm on the small of Leon's back, pressing into it as he chides softly, "You want me to willingly damage police records?"

"I-" Leon starts, mouth falling open as his eyes fall shamefully, his voice a squeak as he looks at Wesker through his lashes, "Yes?"

"I can't do that, Leon," Wesker murmurs slowly, feeling the way his partner sinks in his lap. He can hardly take the wounded look on Leon's face, understanding why Chris is so weak to the boy, so he presses Leon closer to him, tilting his own chin up to smile faintly when Leon meets his gaze, "But I do think I'm done with this paperwork for today anyway. I have places to be, you see."

Leon's eyes widen, and if the boy had a tail, Wesker is sure it'd be wagging when he asks excitedly, bouncing slightly in Wesker's lap, "Really?" Wesker pretends to think, letting Leon stare expectantly down at him for a moment, basically vibrating in his skin as he whines, "Wesk!"

"Really." Wesker finally replies.

Leon erupts in a smile, his hands coming up to cup both sides of Wesker's cheeks when he pauses abruptly, asking quickly, "What about Chris?"

Wesker's lips tick up higher, endeared by the size of Leon's heart. "He can be done, too."

"Yay!" Leon exclaims, squishing Wesker's cheeks excitedly as he leans down to pepper a series of kisses against his lips, speaking between breaths, "Thank you - thank you - thank you!" With his spirits lifted, he twists off of Wesker's lap to bound out of the office, a giant grin on his face when Chris looks over to him with a face full of startled confusion. "Wesker says we can go!" Leon shouts, reaching down to grip at Chris excitedly, "C'mon - c'mon - we can still see the fireworks if we hurry!"

Chris chuckles, rising to his feet as Leon tugs on him. "You convinced him that easily, huh?" Chris asks, knowing Leon probably looked at Wesker with those big baby blue eyes of his and made Wesker fold immediately. Chris can't blame him. Leon is such a little charmer, all cute and sweet-like.

"Yes! Well - he actually - Wesk!" Leon speaks rapidly, turning when he hears Wesker close the door to the office behind him. He reaches out to both of the men, grabbing at their hands and tugging them both excitedly, "Let's go! Let's go!"

Chris laughs. "We're coming, we're coming. Let me grab a jacket -"

"No time! Come -" Leon says, really manhandling Chris with an unexpected tug of his wrist. Wesker looks entertained, letting himself be dragged by his youngest boyfriend out into the hallway. They settle into a brisk pace, Leon yammering between the two of them as he leads the way to the parking garage.

Soon, Leon is parading them around the fair, excitedly pointing out the Ferris wheel and some of the game booths. They're lucky. The state fair runs until midnight, and they just got to the field where the fireworks are to be set off, it nearing ten p.m. as Leon lays a blanket out on the ground that he commandeered from the back of Chris' jeep, falling down onto it with his back to the ground while he sighs, content, "We made it."

"Indeed," Wesker replies, allowing himself to sit neatly on one side of Leon, Chris sitting on the other side since the kid decided he'd lie in the middle of the blanket like a giant cat.

Leon tips his head back to stare at the sky, counting the stars for a brief moment. "I never got to do things like this back in New York," Leon breathes out. "The sky was filled with too much light pollution."

Chris and Wesker take in the information greedily, Chris leaning back on his palms to also look up at the sky while he asks carefully, "Have you seen fireworks before?"

Leon sits up, his gaze wandering over Chris' features as he tries to recall the last time he'd been sitting in a field like this. "I must have… but…" His nose crinkles, and he shakes his head, flipping over so that he can sit between Chris and Wesker as he speaks, "They should be starting any minute now."

It's like Chris and Wesker share a mind link, not even needing to look at each other as they both scoot closer to Leon, offering comfort in the ways of affection, Chris bumping his shoulder into Leon's as he plants a hand behind the boy, curling his fingers against Wesker's. "Well, I hear these ones are pre-tty awesome, so you're in for quite a show."

Leon breathes out an excited noise, and then the sky is lighting up with colorful explosions that shine against his irises not a moment later.

"Wow," he breathes, getting lost in the display with a childlike wonder that makes both Chris and Wesker's hearts swell. That's their boy, so sweet and youthful. They know his childhood was rough, the small tidbits they've picked up here and there telling them all that they needed to know. It became an unspoken rule that they'd spoil him rotten, to the best of their abilities, because Leon deserves it, deserves all the love in the world. "They're so pretty…" Leon mumbles quietly, letting his neck crane up to stare at the sky. The loud noises weren't his favorite, but with Chris and Wesker at his side, they didn't bother him so much.

"And so are you," Chris murmurs at his side, stealing Leon's attention from the sky for a moment.

"Chris," Leon giggles bashfully, reaching out to slap at his chest lightly, "You're distracting me."

Wesker shrugs next to Leon, letting his thumb rub against Chris' as he speaks lowly, "He's right, you know."

Leon's attention slips from the sky to Wesker, his cheeks heating up to his ears as he laughs heartily, "S-Stop - I'm - just watch the fireworks! Stop looking at me!" He then reaches out both arms to scoop them around both of the men's waists, tugging them both closer as he breathes out some more happy squeaks, looking back to the sky as the finale starts.

He squeezes his boys, giddy as the colors in the sky erupt in a beautiful formation, his cheeks aching with the grin on his face. He really thought they'd never make it, that the paperwork would tie them down to the office, but they're here, all three of them, together. Leon swoons, his hands slipping from their waists to reach up and cup the sides of each of their faces, tugging the men closer so that they are cheek to cheek on either side of his face while he sighs, "I'm so happy right now."

Chris grins, turning in Leon's palm to plant a kiss against his cheek. He pulls back, squeezing at Wesker's hand in a silent thanks as he catches his gaze from over the bridge of Leon's nose. "Me too, kiddo," Chris murmurs, keeping his gaze on Wesker as they all part. He leans his arm over Leon's lap to gently squeeze Wesker's thigh, praising softly, "And it's all thanks to this idiot."

Wesker tuts, though his expression is soft with amusement as he shakes his head, murmuring back, "No. We have Leon to thank. He's good at charming people."

Chris snorts. "Or maybe you're just easily swayed by his good looks."

"Guys," Leon giggles, slipping his hands behind him to rub up both of their backs warmly, "It was a joint effort."

Chris raises a brow, the sky still shimmering with remnants of colorful gunpowder as he leans forward, looking at Leon and Wesker with a teasing tone, "A joint effort? What were you two doing while I couldn't see?"

Leon flushes some more, his fingers pinching into the back of Wesker's uniform as he stutters, "N-Nothing!"

"Hmm…" Chris hums, leaning closer to plant his hand between Leon and Wesker's thigh, eyeing the both of them, "I'm not sure I believe you."

Leon squeaks, dipping away from Chris to shove himself behind Wesker's back, gripping him from behind as he gasps, disheveled, "Chris! We didn't -"

"He's teasing you, darling," Wesker interrupts, though he revels in the way Leon presses up against his back, as he smirks at Chris. "He's just jealous you were alone with me."

Leon's brows jut up, his eyes flicking between Wesker and Chris. It's Chris' turn to stammer slightly, his cheeks going rosy as he mumbles and leans closer to Wesker, "And what if I was? Then what?"

Wesker tilts his head, humming and lifting a hand to cup Chris' cheek. "Then I'd be most endeared."

Chris scoffs, but lets their lips meet in a gentle, chaste kiss. Leon giggles from behind Wesker, looping his arms around the man's waist as he lets his boyfriends love on each other. He likes to see them like this, it making his insides all gooey.

Leon nuzzles closer to Wesker, rubbing his cheek against his back for a moment. Perhaps it'd be strange to any bystanders to see three police officers all snuggled up under the stars, but Leon doesn't mind one bit.
