You guys need Therapy so bad ( So I made you go:3 )

Summary:

*One day the three vampires got mail for a therapy place which was surprisingly very close to them. Of course Shelby and Drift needed to bring it up instead of just throwing out the paper and moving on. Now Scott was stuck between choosing to go to therapy or Shelby getting on his nerves for an absurd amount of time. And all that because he needed to mention something from his past.

or

I make the vampires cast go to therapy because they NEED it.

Chapter Text

You guys need Therapy so bad ( So I made you go :3 )

New York City 2006

It was just another normal game night Scott, Shelby and Drift tend to have a lot on the weekends. While having lived for centuries and constantly being around each other they seem to not have grown tired of each other's presence. Of course there would be times where the tension was thick or they‘d have an argument, but whatever it was it was always quickly fixed.

Right now Drift wasn‘t actually living with them though. She had bought her own apartment a few years prior and moved in there. It was mainly because near her new home was a university and Drift decided she wanted to learn about the law. While she could have just batted there every day, Scott and Shelby both agreed it may be too much of a risk to fly there every morning. Mostly it was just Shelby who was concerned at first, but Scott agreed with her after a while. Unsurprisingly Shelby was the one most upset about Drift moving. She kept whining about not being able to see her Bestfriend that often anymore. Scott just scoffed at that, but ended up giving her a long hug at the train station despite himself.

After that Drift only visited every few weeks on the weekends, just like now…

Soooo~ anything new with your classes, Drift?“ Shelby asked after writing down her points for the round.

„Uhh it's going pretty great. I learned a lot already. I am still annoyed that I need to take English though. I mean I am good at it! But it‘s mandatory and that‘s the annoying part,“ she complained.

Scott was just half-hearthly listening to their conversation as it was his turn now at Farkle so Shelby answered her.

“You have been complaining about this for your last few visits.” She pointed out tilting her head a little at Drift.

"Well, yeah! I think I didn’t tell you last time, but they changed the teacher for that class and I don’t really like him.”

“Teachers can be unbearable,” Scott added absent-mindly to their conversation.

“True,” Drift said. There was silence for a moment before she seemed to have realized something.

“When did you go to school? You never told us that.”

“Oh yes! What?” Shelby exclaimed looking over at Scott.

“Mhm well in my coven, before Oakhurst, your Sire sort of became your Teacher or at least someone who showed you how to gain power and stuff. That was kinda like school.”

Shelby shifted in her place in front of the couch only giving a sound of acknowledgment.

“How was your life before everything,“ She gestured around with her hands, „anyway?” Drift asked intrigued.

“I mean I was a manor lord. Then I got put to sleep and when I woke up Oakhurst happened. But I told you guys that already.” The white haired man answered. It did seem like he was avoiding something and Shelby and Drift for sure noticed. They knew him pretty well after all.

“Yeah, Yeah, rich boy, manor lord and all that.” Shelby made a motion with her hand as if to brush something away before turning fully to Scott. “But like, what was before that?” The curiosity in her eyes made it hard for Scott to actually lie about anything. Not that anything bad had happened and he needed to lie! Of course not!

“Uh well that was pretty long ago,” he stated and continued with a sigh, “If I tell you something will you drop it?” Shelby nodded quickly and Drift shortly after followed. With both of them looking expectantly at him and carefully listening he began.

“Okay sooo, I got turned by this guy, a friend of my parents I believe, but that was so long ago I can’t really remember it anymore. Well anyhow I ended up joining his coven. He was my Sire so he became something like my teacher.”

Drift lifted her head a little at that. While the word Sire is now only used as a description of the person who turned you, Scott wouldn’t just use it like that. He’ll mostly only use that for someone he respected or even deemed higher than him. Which was… unusual to say the least. Was this person important?

“Where is your Sire now?” Drift questioned before Scott could speak again.

“Oh I killed him,” he answered, way too cheerful considering what he just admitted.

Drift looked over at Shelby who was already looking in her direction. Shelby's gaze lingered on Drift a bit longer before speaking up.

"OH. Well haha that's..”Her voice was high pitched. It honestly just surprised her (not because he killed someone. It was Scott they were talking about after all), but because she also thought with the way Scott had called this person his Sire they weren’t on bad terms, but apparently he was.
“Why would you do that?” It maybe came out a little sharper than intended, but he didn’t seem to mind much.

Scott put up his hand in mock surrender. “He was the one who killed me first! It was just self defence

“You don’t seem very guilty about that.” Shelby tilted her head a little.

“Uh well it’s complicated. I didn’t really like him,” Scott snapped back.

“That’s not a reason to kill someone! You promised the Doc to change!” Drift reminded him and that seemed to really annoy him.

“I do, I am changing,” he defended, “It’s not like I am killing people now.”

“Of course you are that’s not-” Shelby started before being cut off by Scott.

“It feels like you are still judging me for all of that, but it was so long ago!”

“That doesn’t really excuse it..” Shelby muttered under her breath.

“Well what am I supposed to do then?! I am trying!” Scott stood up from the couch leaving the dice abandoned on the table. It was so quick Shelby all but flinched at the motion. “I do so much and you still don’t think I am good enough! You- ugh! Play your stupid game alone” And with that he stormed off.

A look was shared between the two girls. What was that?
