poetry

Summary:

"What is this earth without art? Just a rock."
-Timothee Chalamet (how ironic that he said that)

(i don't think he was the og but i can't find it)

Notes:

hey guys! this is legit one of my favorite poems i have ever written. i quote this often because of how much i love it. i have always wanted to write something like this because it is the reason i write poetry. it doesn't have to have one strict meaning. i write so the reader can have many perspectives and so they can relate it to their own life. yes, i write to send messages, but that message can be different to anyone.

this is barely inspired by "Poems" by Tae-Joo Na. the idea to write this came from that poem, but the content of the poem is entirely different.

i hope you enjoy!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

poems don’t have one
strict
meaning.

that type of poetry
should be
dead.

the strict rhymes
and rhythm
and syntax.

it should all
be
gone.

poems don’t have to be
strictly
analyzed.

a poem isn’t
how the poet
intended it.

it is
how the reader
read it.

thanks for reading! <333
