   Summary

   A sudden onset of pain and discoloration in Vash’s back leads him to grow distant, worrying his companions. In their shared motel room, Wolfwood finds himself caught up with the man’s wellbeing, which is going downhill quickly. It comes to a head with a sudden eruption of odd fleshy wings from his back and a deal to keep things quiet for a while.
