Timeline: Cybertronian War
Starscream was never one for helping others, but as he stared at K-87 shaking in front of him, he couldn’t help himself. The youngling looked completely lost, his orange optics wide and servos shaking as he held a rusted pipe up in defense.
He took a slow step forward as one would approach a frightened animal. Lord Megatron would kill him for this.
“Kay, What happened?”
“Starscream?”
K-87’s frame loosened a fraction in relief, but just as he took another step towards his younger brother the green bot jumped. Starscream’s helm whipped up as his audials picked up sounds of a struggle coming closer. He didn’t think, grabbed his servo and bolted down an abandoned street. The younger let out a yelp of confusion but didn’t fight back otherwise. They came to a ship and Starscream lightly pushed K-87 through the hatch.
“Go, search for a better planet. Message me if you’re able”
His spark ached at the thought of saying goodbye. This was his brother, but time was running out and the ground shook.
“Leave!-“
“STARSCREAM!!”
Starscream slammed the hatch shut and the ship took off on autopilot. Megatron turned the corner, his large frame blocking the only way out. Well, at least the youngling was safe. He wouldn’t have to witness the pain his brother endured that night.
