   Summary

   Technically, they were only supposed to become their mechs when they were inside them. No mechanic or engineer or handler would ever say their pilots were bluetooth connecting their minds to their mechs. But too much time on them made the mech a second body, so it wasn't uncommon for pilots to go to sleep in their quarters and connect with their mechs from far away, drifting between sleep and awareness in their metal bodies.
